I continue to read manga. I find them a bit more entertaining then having to read a novel that you have to use your head for to make your own picture. Some creativity just doesn't cut it. I buy my manga only if the online is the one keeping me entertained or got me hooked, whichever term you prefer to use.

how nice of you, Crenshinibon, taking your precious time to point out non existent mistakes in my grammar. heres a link if you insist that im wrong :

Not only was my point qualitative, not grammatical, you also seem to have missed it entirely.

The whole idea of "growing out of something" is that your preferences change as you age. The things you enjoy change, so arguing that you can never possibly grow out of something you enjoy now because you find it enjoyable is rather absurd.

But I'm sure I'm wrong. After all, I still play with tonka trucks all the time. The bulldozer is my favorite.

I don't think I'll ever stop reading entirely.
Sure I get bored of it and take a break from it once in a while; I haven't been reading for 5 years non-stop so far XD But yeah, probably as I get older I'll read the odd few here and there.

I can't see myself quitting anytime soon.

Yes I would, sad but true. However, I would say this is the longest phase I ever had though. I started reading during my first semester of college because I was bored and had nothing to do after I finish all of my work. I probably will stop reading completely eventually.

Pfftt, my tyrannosaurus rex would destroy it.

Anyway, I think eventually I will quit reading manga, or at the very least I'll read once in a while. I have been reading increasingly less manga over the years so it's a definite possibility that I'll stop.

I'm 35, married and I have two kids. My passion for Manga is as strong now as it was when I first began reading. There is no way in Heaven or Hell I'll ever quit.
On a side note, I am also a fan of Anime and Gaming.

I'm 26 and I have been reading on a daily basis for at least 3 years now.

Sure age weights. In the last years I have become increasingly more interested in a large variety of things. And I can say for sure that my life today is a lot less gaming and more music, movies and such. But I think I haven't dropped my manga reading routine ever.

One thing about aging is that you become more exigent. I don't have as much free time and become more pricky, but I yet follow my "read whatever falls on your hand" policy.

In fact, thanks to my last acquisition, a Kindle, my passion for reading has revamped. Maybe I just read a bit less than before but just because now I alternate reading regular books with reading manga.

Bottom line: If i didn't dropped it already, probably wont do it ever. Just that moment of reading a manga for an hour before going to sleep, is irreplaceable.

Yes. I used to read a lot more but I have a tendency to buy whatever I read and buying a whole manga series is super costly compared to buying the anime version, so I find myself choosing anime over manga more and more.

Bleach and Naruto are the only series I still follow on a regular basis. I check out Gunslinger Girl once a year to see what I've missed as well. Once those end I probably won't pick up another manga unless Nana starts coming back out or I hear that the person who made Ichigo 100% has a new series.

Probably not entirely. But at least Im much less of a weeaboo than I where before. Nowdays I can actually accept and even prefer the English dub of some stuff from japan (ex. Disgaea and all other NIS games english dub is much better than the japanese one).
Also Im not thinking japan > all anymore.
Another thing is that I have pretty much stopped watching anime entirely and only read some manga.

Well, I'm turning 19 this year and I'm actually thinking about quitting manga already. I tried to read like 70 manga last year and only continued with 3 of them... even the seinen & josei manga bore me. I don't know why, but if you read several manga and watched several anime it almost seems like every manga & anime is the same as the other, especially the characters & the humour... it's just not fun anymore. :/
But I still do like the manga style, though... and I still like being around manga sites like this one... ^^

Well, in middle school i became obsessed with romance books, until i was in my early twenties i was OBSESSED with them. then i stopped. after awhile a began to read manga. i started with a yaoi manga, and have spread to reading many other genre. i guess reading will always be a part of my life in some way or another...

But why? It's just books.
You wouldn't ask someone if they would just stop reading in the future?
The story is the same it's just another medium.
