Solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the sun, thus there is still a little light. lunar eclipse is when the earth blocks the sun, and the moon gets NO LIGHT what so ever.

uwah..... a lunar eclipse? why didn't i hear about it? did i miss it? when can i see it? (live in fremont, ca)

and btw, the sky's pretty clear over here.....though there are a bit of clouds.

I think my dog was barking at the lunar eclipse when it started. She barks at the moon when it's full. Shame my dog was the only one to see it. I miss the starting time and it's cloudy here in NC. Wiki says the mid-eclipse is at 10:30 tonight so I might get to see that if the sky clears up.

Yeah, after looking around it's pretty cloudy but it doesn't obstruct my view of the eclipse that badly.
