For the life of me, I tried looking for this one manga for the last few hours and absolutely give up. Can anyone help? Can't remember if it had several volumes or was just the one with four parts or something.

It features four high school friends. All I remember is a lighter, long haired girl who is the object of affection between a brooding dark haired guy and his light haired, outgoing best friend. I think the long haired girl and light haired guy are childhood friends possibly. There was a scene where the long haired girl went to a festival in a kimono and met the dark haired guy, while the other guy was on his way to see her on his bike, I think looks at his cell phone or a gift he got her, and gets hit by a vehicle and dies. The short dark haired girl reveals she's always liked short light haired guy, blames protagonist girl for her selfishness etc. The rest deals with the fallout.

I want to say it was josei because the style was reminiscent of Ikuemi Ryou but more stylized (if that makes sense), it wasn't bombastically shoujo and the pacing was nice and mellow ish. But it was about four friends set in a school environment.

Also I think light haired guy was working at a gas station or something during the summer, when it all culminated in the fireworks at the festival and him rushing to see the main girl (who he likes). Anyone? It's driving me crazy @_@
