I thought about it too. I think Raki will do anything for Clare, except, maybe go against something he believes is the "Right Thing". So, maybe, he will try to protect Priscilla and go against Clare but NOT because he likes Priscilla more. He can do that for believing that killing her is worse and wont make Clare happy, even after someone telling him why she needs to hill her. Or something corny like that. But I hope I'm wrong and the plot turns out a little more creative.

Well, the two can always kill off Raki and get paired with each other, kinda like Kirika and Mireille in Noir. 😀

The question I have is...How come all those awakened beings 'lose their mind' while the abyssal beings seem to be pretty 'with it'

And yes...Claire will have to meet Raki at some point...And it'll be like 'Oh no! The one I love and the one I hate are together!'

Luciaela can't have two minds of its own, so it seems raphaela decided to transfer all her memories/emotions to clare and this huge burst just causes clare's youki to go out of control, but i don't think she's the one who awakened. Since raphaela is brain dead, Luciela can take over the fused body without any conflicts of interest and awaken. That's my 2cents 😛

I doubt it's Clare. All the girls from the north were there's when she lost control and would recognize it. It almost certainly has to be the fused twins awakening.

it has something to do with Teresa + clair, why? because the survivors in the north mentioned of having to sense this familiar yoki before... But then again, the chances of Clare being awaken are pretty low but it is still a possibility.

I highly dubt if Clare awakens, because then it is lost all the meening of Clare existence:
She would like to kill Priscilla and not in an awakened form.

i think the familiar youki was when clare was using the swiftblade technique and she unleashed all of her youki in one arm
i'd say it's definitely raphaela awakening

Why do you tag the spoilers? ^^ The thread it titled "Most Recent Chapter Discussion" so anyone who hasn't read the "most recent chapter" would probably stay away from it anyway. 😉

I think the youki explosion is two-fold: one is Raphaela completely merging with Luciela (which is like the Fusion Dance in terms of resulting power) and the other is Clare receiving all memories and experience of ex-#2 who rivaled #1 during their time (though Raphaela was demoted to #5 in Clare's time). Presumably, knowing what Raphaela knew about youki, Clare would be even more skilled about releasing it than she is now.

Is it possible to acquire new techniques and skills just by receiving the memories of someone else? If so then Claire will definitely get stronger. If not then I dont see why she had to absorb raphaela's memories.

I believe the youki to be the fused sisters' one. afterall, hasn't Claire not already awakened in the war of the north 😕
