Hello, I need help finding this side story. It's been stuck in my head for the past 5 days😔.

There is a boy with blonde hair and green eyes. I think he's half Japanese and half British? He had a childhood friend who sells fish. And he left for many years to become a priest.

I remember a specific scene where the priest was going to perform a prayer at this old women's house and she refused because he was half.

I also remember the fish boy being very upset that priest boy left without a word.

I know for sure it's a side story which is making it so hard to find.
