I'm just curious how much money you bring to manga conventions? And what do you usually spend it on? I bring between 100 and 200 euros and mostly buy figurines and manga.

If you have a specific item in mind, bring at least that much. Other than that, just bring what you're comfortable spending. If you got a low budget, that's fine. There's plenty of cheaper stuff around. It also depends on the amount of stuff you plan on buying (and carrying around with you). 100-200 euros sounds like a safe bet if it's mostly manga and figurines (although some figurines can cost quite a lot)

And don't forget about money for food and stuff.

I tend to bring at least $500US with me. But this counts as everything. Food, travel, room, ect. As for free spending money, I try to stay under $100. I don't like buying lots of things since I move around a lot and clutter gets in the way. But I like buying stuff in the artist alleys.

I usually take around £50 - £100. I end up buying figurines and posters/wallscrolls, but I like to haggle when I buy, so I don't usually pay the price they have on the box =P
Recently though, I've just been buying figurines. I don't usually go for the really expensive ones though. I like the ones around £15 - £30. I've managed to rack up quite a collection without having to spend too much.
When I wanna spend some more though, there are always some ATM's around. Not a problem.

Cool! That's a big amount of money for me. Considering manga isn't that rare of a stuff here, in asia. Well, it depends on your country I see. In my country, it's a bit cheaper... Comic Magazine shipped from japan are about 10$, while the tankoubon maybe 8$. That's still expensive since the translated ones published here aren't even 2$. Well, for figurines, the prices are about the same, tough it's cheaper in stores than on convention or festivals. Maybe I will bring around 70$-100$, it's already enough, I guess.

I don't like to carry that much cash, maybe $60, but that's for everything (food, etc.) I don't set a spending limit, because I'm not usually tempted to spend all that much. I don't collect figurines, and I get wall scrolls at the local comics store. I do take my credit card and checkbook just in case there's a big ticket item I just have to have. One year there was a good sale on manga, and I spent about $65 dollars, but I got a lot for that. I bought a KHR! puzzle one year and a KHR! keychain another year. I also pick up artwork and handcrafted items in the Artist Alley. This year I got beautiful renderings of sexy Gojyo and Sanzo, Kamina sleeping (a rare pose), and Kambei-sama of Samurai 7, all from the same artist.

I wanna say "Everything I have in my bank account", as I only carry card and not cash...but I know better than to splurge like that :\
Going to a con this weekend though so we'll see how much I'll be spending 🤣

Its been a while since I've been to convention (my last wasn't even anime/manga focused, it was Comic-Con NYC) so I'm not a good barometer.

That said, I usually bring $~400 USD, including food/snack money. I usually just get stuff from the artist alley cause it feels more unique/one-of-a-kind than the stuff at the official vendors.

I usually don't spend it all either (gotta have safety cash) so even though I bring ~400, I usually only spend ~200 (I'm stingy)

brought $600 bucks, spent most of it on food rather than much else.
