I'm soo surprised at how much support this has gotten! It's great! I thought about suggesting it awhile ago, but held off because it's not really a genre, per se. But it would definitely be good to have some way to categorize manhwa and especially OEL because that group's growing by the day.

Maybe as part of the Original Publisher category, have a place to add country of origin instead of just the publisher.

Hmmm... I was thinking that perhaps "Manhwa, manhua, manga", etc. could be classified as "sub-labels" or "tags" something. These "tags" could also be used to provide further info on the title, if say, the genre description or even title description doesn't speak much for the content like "homophobia", "gag", "celtic culture", etc.

. A new category for choosing "Manga, Manhwa, Manhua, or Other" (as well as Western-manga, there are also a few Malaysian-manga on mangaupdates, hence the Other section) would greatly improve the current database.

I definitely support this! It would be a lot easier to have these as categories, because manhwas, manhuas, and mangas are all generally different.

So if there was a function that allows a list of all manhwas that would be awesome. I hope they can implement this! It wouldn't be genre, but more like type.
