23.7, at the upper end of "normal" as always...
Lately I've been hearing that "waist/hip ratio" is actually a better indicator of whether you're healthy, though.

So what's this ideal ratio supposed to be, oka-chan?

Yeah, what's that?
Maybe BMI isn't so accurate....like, what if someone has heavy bones?! 😕
Like, I know this kid who weighed a ton, but he was skinny. Trying to pick him up was like trying to pick up a boulder.
Edit: That site made me lol. Am I an apple or a pear? Heheheh.
I don't have any measuring tape that flexible...lemme go find some..

BMI is just weight-for-height, which isn't necessarily a good indicator of health.
Waist-hip-ratio shows whether your fat is stored in/around your organs (more unhealthy) or as a layer under your skin (less unhealthy).
At least that's what I seem to remember, don't feel like googling it right now.

Oh.
Uhh what's the difference between waist and hips? Is your waist like, your stomach and the hips the bone part?

Oka-chan, it says I'm 0.87 (28/32)... which says healthy.... but that means a short person with 56/64 measurements would be healthy 😕

the calc. says I'm healthy with .88 ratio. (24/27)
My BMI says 16.3.
Wiki says women w/ .7 and men with .9 are "strongly correlated with health and fertility." And then it rants on about beauty icons with .7 ratios but different weights.
That's funny, I know plenty of ppl with thicker waists/hips who have tons of kids and rarely get sick.
Something about heart disease risk or something too.
oh well.
thanks for that link, oka-chan.

Your Waist to Hip Ratio is 0.81 and appears to indicate an increased risk for heart disease and diabetes.
You may wish to talk to a doctor about losing weight. Or you can get started on your own by eating right and getting regular exercise.
WHAT THE HELL? is that thing correct or something?
cause i'm like.. 107 lbs.
