I was wondering why there are so many sites that have unfinished mangas. But they keep starting new ones. I don't understand why not finish the series after all the hard work that was put into it to begin with. Don't they want to know how it ends as well? Sorry if this came off a little aggressive. I'm not meaning any bad. I appreciate all the hard work and I love reading the mangas, but I just die a little everytime when I look and see the manga is finished, but the translations stopped in the middle of the volume and the last release date was two years ago but they just released two new chapters for other new mangas. I understand things happen, but could it be that some sites get to big to manage?
any other opinions? 😕

most of the time those unfinished mangas are licensed so they drop it. if not maybe they can't find the raws?

They could always get bored of the projects, and i also agree with what aneste said, they might be licensed or can't find raws. and It's not like the groups are limited to series and forced to finish, they could be just doing a bit of it for fun or one person in the group wants to do it etc.

If they only work on one project at a time not many will get done at all...
So at least there are options to choose from.

About dropping, that the deal of the site...

Or maybe it's just not drawing enough readers for the series.
I mean, more readers = better chance of getting more staffies.
Not all editors, translators, etc are faithful. No offense.
Not many stick around till the end. :S

Or maybe the manga itself was dropped by the author.
It happens... T_T

Its mostly because of raws being unavailable, the manga being licensed (in the U.S. :haha 🙂 , or there's a bigger scanlation group working on it and attracting all the attention
