well, you could always buy them online >_> provided that you have a credit card / paypal of course
I used to buy manga at a local bookstore but manga wasn't and still isn't popular here, many people know of anime and its already a big hit but no one's ever heard of manga, eventually they found no profit so no one sells manga anymore 😢

"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so."

I always buy from Waldenbooks 😀
But for online, maybe justmanga.com ? 😕
I thought Waldenbooks went out of business. I haven't seen one for a while.
Maybe you are thinking of B Dalton Books? I haven't seen one in a while. As Tofu Queen said, Borders and Waldens are owned by the same people. The Borders reward card is worth it.
I second Discount Anime DVD, however, with shipping added, I think the prices roughly end up the same. You can get free shipping only if you buy $99 worth of stuff. But they have just about everything.
Amazon.com isn't too bad, since you can get super saver shipping with $25 purchase.
And you can always scour e-bay. Sometimes you can get some good deals if you know what you are looking for and consider things like S&H, quality, and seller info.

I haven't seen either B. Dalton or Waldenbooks in a long, long time. There used to be a waldenbooks in the mall near my house, One day it just disappeared and there was a candle shop instead. Across the street is a Borders and a little farther down is Barnes and Nobles.
Life is tough......but it's tougher if you're stupid.

Our mall used to have a Dalton's and Waldens at one point. Then the B. Dalton's disappeared. It seems malls change stores like underwear. I used to get manga with decent deals at Suncoast, but that vanished, too 😔 That space became a candy/gift shop, and then it is currently a build-a-bear store

Out of business?! I don't think so, or at least not the one in my mall 😁 I go there every Friday! And just last week I bought a manga from a Borders in another mall!
I have a Borders Rewards Cards and I still don't really get how it works 😀

At Borders or the nearest Half-Price bookstore 😀
I buy sometimes at Barnes and Noble, although their collection isn't so great. Getting better as time goes on though, it seems.
Mostly I buy online at amazon.jp, the US version, or other stores. They have stuff local bookshops would never have.
