Xbox Live and Games

I've been playing Call of Duty 4 online recently and honestly, I find it to be the best game thus far for 360. So my question is: What games are you playing on XBL and what games are you anticipating playing online?

Well I wont be playing it on XBL, but I am really looking forward to Project Offset. It looks like everything I have been looking for in a game. It's been in the works for some time, but I'm willing to wait. I need to get my pc ready for it.

if we get soul calibur 4 then definitely that, for right now, I await my 360 coming back to me after receiving the 3 red lights of doom.
"Let's put a smile on that face."
I hardly play online, when I do, it's just Halo 3 with some friends.
I am gonna be playing Rock Band online with friends, though.

Oh, man. I got enough money to buy either a 360 or PS3 right now and I can't decide.
360: It's basically the same price as a PS3. Pro is at $350 (the mid-level 360, Elite is $450) and the wireless adapter that I would NEED is $100. There's a few retail games I would want to play but none that I must have. I would really like to play a lot of Arcade games like Pac Man: Championship Ed., Geometry Wars (PC version sucks), and Every Extend Extra Extreme. I also have a problem where my connection to the internet is only from 7PM-12AM so it would go on and off and I worry about achievements and how they work.
PS3: Being at $500 makes it about the same as the 360 and it's also a Blu-Ray player. I would need to find out if HDMI cables or component would be better on a 1080i HDTV. I feel a lot better about the future of PS3 with the two insanely beautiful FF games. I can also sell my PS2 and get some money.
I forget to add I do worry about multi-platform games on the PS3. A lot. I would really like to play Madden.

HDMI cables are better for a HDTV. If you really want something to play now, then your best choice is the 360. If you can wait till next year, then go for a ps3. Im really looking forward to the FF games as well but since that won't be out for quite a while, MGS4, GTA4, DMC4 will have to do 🙂

I was completely leaning towards the PS3 but just a few minutes ago I started leaning towards the 360. Although I would love a Blu-Ray player, it comes to my mind that I only really want to watch 300 again. I would also love to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma but that's the only game I would need until the two FF games. 360 usually has the better multi-platform reviews, and more games ARE coming out for it. It's still killing me the wireless adaptor is 100 fucking dollars and that just kills me.

I got the wireless adapter, and yeah, the price is rape. But, it works very well. I run a wireless home network and have never had an issue connecting with the adapter.
I'd recommend getting the 360, considering that most the good PS3 games are not out yet, and the ones that are out are also on the 360 (And seem to work better on it, too).
I'd recommend getting the Xbox 360 Pro (The new one that comes with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, specifically, since it has the Zephyr motherboard thats in the Elite, which means it now has HDMI output capabilites. The only thing the Elite has on it is a 120gb hdd, which I believe they only put out because at the time sony had the 20gb and 60 gb PS3, and its supposed to be a huge contest).
Spring for the wireless adapter, it works great. Plus, I have heard some regular PC adapters work, but trying can kill your Xbox. The Xbox 360 one has specific firmware for the Xbox 360 console.
Get Xbox Live if ya want, if you do, might aswell spring for gold (50 bucks for thirteen months if ya snag the Halo 3 card, which has a free extra month).
If ya have any money left for a game, I'd recommend Bioshock. It's a solid shooter, with an excellent story and some insane gameplay mechanices. Alot of people are pissed at the lack of online multiplayer, but I personally don't feel a game NEEDS multiplayer to be a good game.
I'm still not getting a PS3. Although, the recent price drop to 2/3 of the original price is helping my decision, I am still going to wait, since only a handful of games are out that I even care about.

Im getting a PS3 for myself come X-mas. My reasons were the following.
- I don't like shooters, so Xbox doesn't have great appeal towards me.
- I love RPGs so PS3 all the way
- All my favourite games come out for PS3 only
- I don't want to pay $70 a year for online play.
Btw I love the funny music videos on youtube:

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the universe. – Albert Einstein
