Some manga seem to drag on and on, recycling the same situations over and over again, until they just get boring to read. I hope Kouji Seo is wise enough to wrap Suzuka up with a good ending before he runs out of ideas and things start dragging.

i have been reading the raws and things do take a turn for the worse (for track) but then again this series was not really about track. it was about yamato and suzuka. those who read it for the track should stop since i dont see much of a future in it anymore......

Usually I avoid raws: reading something I can't read just leaves me confused... 😕

However, this bugged me so I did look at the raw for C159: I didn't get anything like what you said out of it, so now I feel better. 😁

What I did get out of the raw was:

How long till the engagement ceremony and the wedding?

Will that be the end of the series, or will it continue into at least the beginnings of their married life? (I'd like to see the story keep going, but no idea what the mangaka will actually do.)

I'm not saying Yamato actually proposes in C159 (I don't read Japanese): just my gut feeling that the series is heading toward marriage, baby, etc.

Well, I liked chapter 159; feel a bit relieved now that I've actually read it. 🙂

Yamato hasn't proposed (yet), but he did talk about a job and a house, so I think he's headed in the right direction. :D

For me, the biggest thing is that Suzuka finally seems to have her priorities on the same wavelength as Yamato.

Before she went overseas to train, it seemed that for her track was the most important part of her life and she finally decided to break up because she just couldn't cope with Yamato placing her and their relationship before track.

Now (C159), she seems to have finally realized that the two of them and their relationship are what's really important to her, just like it's always been for Yamato.

I still think there's a possibility of track and field in their futures.

If they get parental support (i.e., financial assistance) from one or both families, they should be able to get married and have the baby without giving up on college and track and field.

Motherhood might keep Suzuka from competing full time, going to the Olympics, etc., but I think she could still find satisfaction as a coach training other up-and-coming young athletes.

I can't wait to see what happens next chapter when her dad finds out, all I can say for yamato is ouch :haha:
