I was expecting like, all hell to break loose. :x like, holy crap. Yamato knocked up his daughter! You'd think he would flip. T_T;; Hmm... those pictures, I guess Mr. Asahina went through the same thing? At least, that's what I'm speculating.

Oh. And I don't consider this a spoiler, but did I misread, or is this like, the difference between eastern and western culture? At the very end, he was like, I won't support you financially. Lol... for a lot of Americans... (or even Americanized-Chinese like me)... it's sorta like, argh! Financial support is a must!! T_T!!

Lol... but it seems like at the end, Mr. Asahina told him that he wouldn't support him financially because he believes in him. O_O;; I guess that's a sort of respect...? To not take care of someone? =_=;; wah.

I think Mr. Asahina seems some of himself in Yamato, and seeing how he (Yamato) understand what he told him at the end he believe's he will his best for Suzuka and would do anything for her as would Mr. Asahina. I think he knows she is in good hands and can trust Yamato.

Considering the trouble/hell he went through to just go out with her and to get back together with her... im surprised he even suggested anything really. However, as far as what you said, theres a sense of trust if you consider their previous meetings as well as Yamato saying he wouldnt hide anything

and the fact he started off the meeting with "please let me marry suzuka" lol

Also the fact that she was pregnant before he even met old man Asahina probably helped save Yamato some too.

I think the point he was trying to get across was some idea as to what it takes to be a parent. If they are going to raise the child then they need to make all of their efforts for the sake of the child. He had him reflect on how fast he said he wouldnt go to collage and how he didnt consider the effort his parents put into his future, i personally think a fair share of that was bs since he decided to do track on a whim(suzuka) and really didnt even care about it... also it was the only way his retarded self could get into that school. Anyway thats the best i can come up with as far as the crack head authors point of view.

My opinion of the matter is if you're gonna be a child and take advantage of all the perks(free rent/food/etc) you have to deal with the people in charge and their rules. If you want to do the adult thing then go do the adult thing and get lost. Dont come crawling back cause life isnt a game theres no extra chances. Basically they chose the adult road so they lose their umbrella. However, just because they arent being financially supported doesnt mean they are completely cut off... between Yamatos parents/aunt and Suzukas parents theres a whole world of info that two clueless soon to be high school grad/parents need to know.

Hopefullay bits and pieces of all the bs i just said is close enough to what is going on but then again the author and old man Asahina dont really make that much sense to me.

no way!! really? 😲 well considering this is a shounen so it's not really surprising..parenthood or marriage life is more of seinin's territory..
