Hi, I apologize if I've made a new post of something people have already asked. I went through the pinned post but I couldn't find it. Or maybe missed it in my carelessness.

I'm looking for this manga where one of the boys is a nerd. He was conscious of his average look and wanted an image change. He coloured his hair, then met the other boy who was sort of a rebel type. I think they met during summer holiday. One memorable scene, I think is the rebel boy piercing the nerdy boy's ear (I think).

It's not recent manga. The art had a very late 90,early 20 feel.

Oh my god, yes it is. Thank you so much. I've been looking for it under the wrong mangaka. For some reason, I thought it was either by ABE Miyuki (mixed up with Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!) or Zaō Taishi.
