i dont think you have ever watched any anime then^

i don't watch much anime, but i do read loads of manga. the problem is what people define as 'huge boobs'. i don't think orihime from bleach is grossly big, nor the female teacher in mahou sensei negima, or the teacher and the kid in kodomo no jikan or this another teacher in wolf guy, etc, are monstrously big. because there's loads of hentai with boobs taking half of their weight that i dont think the examples i stated before is disproportionate or weird at all.

i don't mind really whether the females are cows or 5 year old lolis, as long as the story is good.

I'm a guy, and being a fan of proportions, I don't like big boobs at all. Not even in real life. Yep, I'm straight.

I'm female and I don't really mind large breasts(I'm a bisexual so I can appreciate any fanservice), but there's a difference between busty characters and unproportional ones, personally I have quite a high standard for art and the sheer impossibility of characters like Orihime is disturbing. I can enjoy the comical relief of boobs but when overdone it's really distracting and a huge turnoff.

Uh, they're gross. I kind of can't see why anyone would put them in. I mean, it's not even slightly attractive, it mostly just looks painful and makes me think "seeexism" because I think only basement-dwelling virgins can possibly draw them >.<

Uh oh generalizations 😀 . That said it depends on the female and I don't usually like gigantic boobs but I do like big one's. Still you can't dictate them being gross for everyone like you did in your second sentence.

I wouldn't mind characters with huge boobs in anime if said boobs weren't so overtly sexualized. I know it's kinda the point, but to many anime creators big boobs are not enough - they have to be ENORMOUS, gravity-defying, bouncy (what are they made of, jelly?) in-your-face boobs, accompanied by a bikini top ten sizes too small or a vacuum-sealed sweater exposing every detail. And this is what I find really disgusting.

I agree with you 100%. It only bugs me when they become very unrealistic and gross, I watch anime with my brother and since he's a dude he likes what he see's... I don't like the nipple showing or too much fan-service with them. It's just like damn, these guys need some real life experiences. That is my opinion. 🙂

I'm a male, my preference is as long as the boobs are smaller than their heads. small is no problem to me.

but exceptions are for characters that is not human, ie: cowgirls. or oppai-monsters. 🤣

Depends on how they're drawn.

I hate how the media portrays women all together. I just find big boobs in manga make me feel helplessly sorry for that character, because really big boobs are painful and are designed in many manga to be the personality of the person. It isn't that is a really lovely girl, she rescues kittens, it is, that girl has awesome tits.

As to how females are drawn through manga, and portrayed in society, boobs aside, I can not properly express the contempt and disgust I feel towards those who make those "perfect" female forms. The mannequins you see in shops, and the girls in manga, if a women were to be that thin, she would be considered without a doubt anorexic. She would be so sick that her body would literally be shutting down. My sister has anorexia, and I know allot more anorexics than the average person through her. Some of them wouldn't have been as thin as some mannequins when they were suffering from multiple organ failure all over their bodies, getting osteoporosis, having fits and literally, dying, slowly, and painfully.

I hate the false image that girls are given on how they should look, although anorexia is never about self image and trying to look good, it sends a screwed up message to the rest of the female population, girls are already insecure enough.

I have large boobs :[ they're not XXL, but they're XL (or maybe they are XXL if 36DD counts, I get them from my Hispanic heritage). So comments such as "disgusting and gross" actually hurt a bit. I grew up hating my breasts because I was already a C cup when I entered middle-school and I've always been the average weight for my age. Needless to say, I was picked on because of their size. Anyway, off topic.

It depends on how unrealistically big the beasts are. If, when they're drawn, you can't see her stomach because her breasts cover it; then captain, we have a problem. Otherwise, I don't see a problem. So in my eyes, as long as you can see her stomach, we're clear. I'm also 85% sure I'd be on of those "female characters with (X)XL boobs" so I know that people with large breasts exist!

Aww come on, it's not about large boobs themselves but a) out of proportion bodies and b) how they're used fucking everywhere as means of fanservice.

I'm a (straight) girl and I don't really mind... as long as they're drawn realistically, not overly huge and bouncy and stuff.
I have no problem with ecchi series, Asu no Yoichi (the anime, not the manga) for example, or big boobs in general, but shows like High School DxD and Omamori Himari are really off-putting in my opinion.

Why is people complaining about the unrealisticness of a medium that has never tried to be realistic? I mean, you are seriously expecting a series where characters have natural green and blue hair and eyes almost as big as their heads to be "realistic"? Sometimes, the bust size is the only realistic part of the character since bust size that big does exist in real life, while natural multicolored hair is something only fiction can provide.
Also, manga has variety, not like Western comics where all heroines are big chested. In anime/manga, bust size comes in all sizes possible, from completely flat to "XXL", as the OP "kindly" puts it. If something, people should be complaining to Western media, instead of trying to impose their personal morality onto foreign art and culture.

Well of course he likes what he sees. What did you expect?

A correction: there is fanservice for women too. What you don't like is fanservice for men which is natural since you were not the target audience. I have yet to see women complaining about how fanservice for women degrades men for being very unrealistic and sexually objectifying (like Kyoto Animation Swimming Anime" CM) for example.
The wonderful thing about anime/manga is that there's something for everyone. If you don't like fanservice for men, just watch or read series that contain fanservice for women. Problem solved.

Oh, you mean the world needs more teen pregnancies and STD diseases? It may be just be me, but I rather have a world where teens just enjoy reading or/and watching their favorite fanservice series instead of rising the indices of teen pregnancy and syphilis rates even more.

I agree with gundam in this one. You really should read manga that you like and ignore the ones that gross you out. Like gundam said, there really is something for everyone.
If you try to imply that that comics where humans can lift cars or fire lasers from their hands should have realisticly looking bodies, you are just being hypocrite.
No offense meant.

It's called opinion; I don't really think that discussing tastes on a forum can be seen as an attempt of imposing someone's personal morality on anything; also it's the topic itself which asks girls to give their opinions about it; if not liking can't be discussed, then the forum existance loses its meaning.
