Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but...

When you are eating and someone just has to tell you how much calories are in it.

They dress so eye-catchingly, but with some of them, if you give them so much as a glance, they give you the evil eye like you're some sort of dirty old man.

I mean, come on, don't dress to impress if you don't want me looking at you.

I totally agree with that. It's their fault for wearing revealing clothes. If they dislike being stared at...why dressing like that? There no way a guy wouldn't stare.

lol~ Dave Chapelle actually touched on this subject~~

The interesting thing about cliches is that there is usually some basis in reality, or it wouldn't have become 'cliche'.

Hrm. The thing that annoyed me the most over the years is someone deciding that they're not good enough for me (too much of a burden) or putting me on some sort of undeserved pedestal. Sorry, but that's MY decision, and don't you dare make it for me! Quit trying to sabotage it before it gets started. I don't want to have to work at you being OK with a relationship. If I'm on a date with you, then I've already thought that it was worth my time to get to know you better, so just accept it and go with it.

I know some people will groan as I mention it, but I think some of the fundamental differences in thought processes between men and women are explaied in Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. (I haven't read any of the other Mars/Venus series.)

I suggest you read the book if you don't understand why your girlfriend won't leave you in peace until you're ready to deal with it after you get into a fight - she has to 'fix it right now' when all you want is some space for a while (it's because we react differently); if you don't understand why your boyfriend doesn't appreciate all the 'little things' that you do for him (it's because we count differently); etc.

A little understanding can go a long way if you're aware that trying to 'fix it immediately' makes him think you're clingy/needy and is more likely to drive him away over time than get him to come back. Or if he says "Nothing." when you ask "What are you thinking?", he probably meant exactly that, and prying him further for information he doesn't have to offer is just going to annoy him. Or if she starts bitching about her day, she's not bitching AT you, she's bitching TO you just to get it out, and at least a cursory "Wow, that sucks" and empathy is all she's really looking for from you, and once she's done she'll feel better.

That said, those aren't going to be hard & fast rules, just like anything else. But in general they seem to hold fairly true.

Quote from Dr. Love

Polite bump.

There's nothing really inherent (personality-wise) to either gender. Both can be stubborn, clingy, ... , etcetera. So yeah, that'd be too judgmental of me to pick something out. o_o

I still don't get the toilet seat thing though. 😐

Like, putting it down.

Lolz...I am surprised you pointed that out, thought it was pretty obvious...

girls tend to sit down while doing it and guys dont, so the porcelain is cold to the skin ......and to some, its dirty...
...and if you are talking about why girls want guys to put the seat down or get annoyed if they dont, its pretty obvious, we dont want to touch the under of the toilet seat and to the super clean few, we think of the possible splash of the yellow fluid from the previous male occupant.......

Also, even if the toilet is spotlessly clean, if we sit down when the seat is up, we're likely to feel not just porcelain, but the water itself (depends on the toilet and how wide the girl is), because the seat adds height and narrows the opening.

But, a girl can just do that too... o_o
I do it, so I don't get what's the deal.

Yeah, that's what bugs me. Dx

Shoes.
Seriously, what is it with women and shoes?
I have 4 pairs of shoes, 2 for summer and 2 for winter. How much more can you need?
My mother and sisters have enough shoes for 2 army battalions. No joke, I counted. (I was bored)

@Liria
I would assume you look before sitting down regardless of wether or not it's the toilet.

Re: Lifted Toilet Seat

@Doc
Don't think I'm lashing out at you, but what is there not to get?
It's just annoying. There's no reason not to put it down (unless you live in an all guy invaironment).

@The Guy
Things happen.

Shoes: it's about fasion. Same with clothes and bags and whatnot. I myself don't have much interest in shoes. They cost too much.

For personal things that annoy me?
Dunno.
Maybe the fact that if a guy goes out topless- it's ok.
If a girl does it- she's a hussy.

Dr. Love I think it's because they want to come to the toilet and see it how they left it and not have to deal with how someone else left it. That's my guess.

Sorry Guy... don't get the shoe thing either, but I understand that your supposed to get new shoes once every 6 months because most shoes done have the foot support afterwords.

Ooh wait, I get it. Girls view "toilet seat
down" as the default state of a toilet. o_O

I reasoned from the "toilet seat up" is the default
state, hence why I always found it illogical.

(You probably don't get what I'm saying, huh?)

I still don't see the big deal though, to be honest.

(First off this is kinda a gross topic to talk about)

But the toliet is not always the cleanest (or nicest smelling) place. So when leaving the toliet seat up (as default position) it's not the most appeasing thing.
Plus, Toto is correct in the way that no one likes to correct things that they had no way in "messing up". For instance, if you dirty a plate you rinse it off (or clean it) and stick it in the dishwasher right? Well, what if you did that but your roomate (husband/wife/lover/etc) dirties plates but always leaves them laying about wherever they had eaten off said plate. Wouldn't it get annoying after awhile to not only being the person who has to pick up your roomate's dirty plate, but also to have to clean it and put it up just for the cycle to begin again?

Edit: I got 10 points!! happy dance Now where to spend it...>.<

@Doc: It's a courtesy thing, honestly. Like holding a door open - thinking about someone other than yourself. =)
