Nobou seems to be a little more compassionate and sensitive towards Ren than Satsuki. Which led me to think that Ren is the first child, since i don't think Hachi would ever take a paternity test to find out who the real father is, triggering the sensitivity Nobou has towards Ren. Not to mention the promise Nobou made to Ren that he'd teach Hachi's first born child guitar. If they did end up as twins i'd think he'd teach both of them guitar. Assuming Satsuki doesn't know how to play guitar.. since well she seems a bit too young and childish for that lol.

I thought it was confirmed that Little Ren is Satusuki's older brother. Remember the valentine's day flash forward? Hachi was asking Satsuki for whom and she said "for Onii-san?" and not "Ototo".

Alright, here we go! Takumi loves Reira. Always has, always will. End of story. So I'm thinking he and Hachi are done. Yay! Ai Yazawa has proved to have a more realistic, worldly way of telling her stories even to the point of being harsh, so I don't believe she will give Hachi her perfect family she always wanted. It will be broken because I don't think Hachi will forgive his adultery, as we saw with Shoji. She will, however, let her daughter have her father in her life. If Hachi gets a happy ending, it will be with Nobu. ( I smell a divorce. And I hope for it! ) Nana wil be found I think. It will be a big and dramatic scene.
I do think Takumi will love and care for his kids though.(He's not that heartles, is he?) I believe Hachi is done with him and his cheating ways. Make way for Nobu! +trumpets blare+ I am so hoping for Hachi and Nobu to be together!!!! But I guess I could live Nana and Hachi as lovers After all, the amv of them with the song I Kissed A Girl was fun to make. It could happen. Either way I'm good.

With this unknown-length-hiatus I have a bad feeling about it. Like 21 volumes are all we'll get of Nana. And we'll never know what caused Nana to run away, if Hachi found her, if Hachi divorced Takumi or not, did she went back to Nobu or they stay romantically connected friends. All those questions might stay unanswered! That'd be horrible.

Oh please please please don't let that be the case. I would be so thoroughly disappointed. Fanfics can only keep me happy for so long until I want to know what really happened in the author's heads.

I think Takumi probably always loved Reira (he even cheated on Hachi with that girl who looks like Reira (remarked by Hachi)) but he'd never be with her because there's just too much pain there. Everytime I see them together it's looks so right it looks wrong. Reira cries when she's with him too, and he's not exactly the best guy for her even though he's the one she wants. I used to want her to be with Shin but she's mean to Shin too.

I think Takumi probably wants to get back together with Hachi but can't bring himself to tear away from Reira because he loves her so much.

Oh btw I have Ren Junior Theory I absolutely love but probably isn't true:

So we know Ren is in England right? With Takumi? But knowing Takumi if he's going to go get Reira to convince her to work he doesn't seem like the type of guy to bring a kid along on the job.

And we know how Ren plays the guitar? And Nobu wants to be able to teach 'the child' (Satsuki or Ren) how to play (ch.82) I'm assuming Nobu probably taught Ren how to play. Maybe in one of his lessons he saw Nobu and Hachi exchange a look or something and if he's the older child he may see it as a betrayal to his father and choose to go live with him.

It's a nice future speculation T.T It could probably be shot down but it would make for an interesting fanfiction =D

ren is takumi and reria's child, thats why he stays with her. That was one of the many reasons for divorce jun alluded to when talking to hachi.

i think both ren and satsuki are takumi and hatchis kids! im still not sure which one is the oldest.(satsuki asks yasu why daddy cant come home often and she realises he has brother so he wont feel lonely and mom has satsuki so she wont feel lonely) has anyone wondered which misato is yasu asking shin for? he asks shin why didnt he bring misato? does that mean hes with one of the misatos?

In the end I think that Hachi will go to London to find Nana. When Nana and Hachi meet they will be reunited and continue their friendship. Because Nana and Hachi have always stayed friends no matter what the situation was. But Nana will finally tell Hachi how much the loss of Ren really hurt her. Nana will tell her that even though she had fame and reached her dream it wasn't the same without Ren. Nana will tell Hachi to decide who she wants to spend the rest of her life with and be happy with. Hachi then will choose Nobu because she was most happiest with him and they undeniably love each other. Takumi will go on with his life as a bachelor and taking care of Reira..and will visit Ren and Satsuki because his children are the only people he truely loves. Yasu and Miu i think will get married.. I like them as a couple. And Shin will continue being Hachi's adopted son and grow up into a man..i think that the chapters hint at a possible relationship might occur with Satsuki ....way into the future! But these are my hopes the author tends to be dark so it is most likely end mediocre..kinda like reality


My Take on Ren and Satsuki:
If you guys remember Hachi asked Satsuki if she was making chocolates for her big brother..so I assume that Ren is her older brother. Like "CleverFrances" said, Nobu is more sensitive towards Ren and promised the deceased Ren that he would teach her first born guitar. I also noticed that in one of the chapters cover, Ren was walking in London and had blonde hair. Ren has Hachi's face and Nobu's hair. Satsuki looks more like Takumi. REN CAN NOT be Reira's son in one chapter she said that she should hate Ren because he belongs to Takumi and Hachi but she seems to Love him insted..and sings only with him.

uhm.. plainly just end.. i made too many speculations and mind you, i love them all. but right now i just want this to end since i cant wait any longer.. whatever it is.. i wish nana o. finds happiness once again. hachi, whether she has takumi or not, the children thats legally theirs are always there. IRREGARDLESS of the parents. i wouldnt mind her ending up with either of them. but hope whatever happens the children will be up for it.

I agreed. I don't think neither of Nanas are gay. They both love men and always had relationship with men, it simply doesn't make sense with the story t they suddenly turn gay. If they were gay they would be since the beginning and wouldn't have relationship with men in the first place.
You know, it's not like one can change their sexuality all of sudden just because the person wants.
I think they are great friends who care a lot about each other. It's a beautiful friendship.

I am a Hachi x Takumi fan. Takumi is Hatchi's true love. I want they end together. Hachi always loved and understood Takumi and Takumi is the man who better understood her. They always accept each other as they are. They are a perfect match.

Plus, I think Nana!Rock is dead. I think she killed herself after Ren's death.

i agree with you both. last time i told a friend that i wouldnt want nana and nana to be together, and she thought i was homophobic. other than that i told her aswell that they suffered so much for their men, thn taadaa, they realized theyre lesbians? if so that should have been done something about it at the first place. i have nothing against gays aswell.. its just that it annoyed me when i was called homophobic just cos i dont want two female characters to be together just cos it didnt fit the whole story itself.

and i could see that we have missed alot looking at the future. whoever children are those, theyre either twins or a year apart. so imagine ai yazawa writing about how it got to 6-8 years later. and honestly i dont think Nana was missing for THAT long(think only). But i do agree ren's death is where her downfall started but something else triggered her aswell. and about hachi and takumi, i got a feeling aswell they didnt separate for that long.. maybe somewhere BEFORE where the future flashes it happened. as of chapter 84 i could see a very long gap to fill the future flashes of 6-8 years later. continuing with hachi and takumi, satsuki is already 6 yrs old. so they visited junchan, satsuki was 6, so lets say its 6 years later already and we're certain, why would junchan only advice hachi to divorce after those long years. when things are already falling apart at chapter 84..? and to junchan there were ALOT of reasons to divorce him than to stay with him.. what thing did takumi do for junchan to say as such to hachi 6-8 years later. well i guess again with trapnest and reira no doubt takumi said so.. but seriously im so bothered by the year gaps.. probably what most of us guessed wouldnt even be correct. hmph! i wouldnt mind being corrected after waiting for this long for nana to finish. as long as it gets done.

I'd like to use this post to say that there's no "true love" in Nana. Each and every love relationship in it is flawed. There's no "they were meant to be", except maybe Hachi's and Nana's relationship (whatever it is), since it's mostly disrupted by external forces instead of internal conflict.

And I'd like to clarify, that when I say: "I'd like Nana and Hachi to end up together.", - I don't mean: "I want them to have SEX!1!", - or:"I want them to go to gay parade and paint their hair like rainbows (even if Nana would probably like new hairstyle)." I mean: " They have very deep and trusting relationship, and I would like to see it continued/resumed in whatever form it takes, be it "if it's you, it's OK", or Boston Marriage, or just two best friends living in adjacent houses with their respective families". I think that whatever option Yazawa chooses, she'll make it believable.
