I dislike Sasuke because of his personal characteristics, but I hate him because of his effect on the other characters in Naruto.

He makes Naruto and Sakura annoying as hell, he detracts from the original goal of the manga (the manga might as well be renamed Sasuke because even when he's not shown, he's all Naruto thinks about), he's the main source of the many severely annoying flashbacks that plague the manga and he's delayed the character development of Naruto imo.

I honestly believe Naruto would be much better without Sasuke. That's why I hate him.

Sasuke went too orochimaru cause he didint have a choice, he knew if he stayed in konoha he would not get any stronger
That is why one of u(dunno who) called him pathetic during his first fight wid itachi.
This fight made him realize that if he stayed in Konoha he wud not get any stronger.
He said it himself:"What have i been doing all this time? All this training and I am still not good enough as him. The difference in our powers have still not lessen"

Now u guys hate him for going to orochimaru:
U see he dosent care how he gets power as long as he gets his revenge
Naruto needs to understand this too and this is why sasuke does not want to go back to Konoha.
Finally, my last point is you guys hate sasuke for killing itachi.
Come on guys, you all should know better: Sasuke NEVER KNEW that Itachi was ORDERED to kill the clan. Not until Tobi(madara) told him.
Last but not least, in the manga he said he was going to destroy the Leaf: What this meant was HE WANTS TO KILL DANZOU AND THE 2 ELDERS. IT WAS DANZOU OR THE ELDERS THAT ordered Itachi to kill the clan.
Please guys I want you to remember this fact. Sasuke is mad for all the suffering his brother had to go through and wants to Kill Danzou and elders.

There is only 1 reason you all may hate Sasuke for: for not clarifying his reasons to Naruto. For never explaining to Naruto.
We all know that Zetsu told Sasuke (in manga) that Naruto is stronger than him. And Sasuke I'm sure he too deep down knew that Naruto would surpass him. And guess what Naruto fans: Sasuke does not care. Sasuke said it himself, "....I don't care about that....the five kages are the problem." what he means is that he cant kill Danzou if the other kages are there.
There is only 1 reason all of you can hate Sasuke for:
He ignores Naruto, he should explain to Naruto everything about Itachi and the truth about Danzou.

One part i read in the manga he stated that he wanted everyone in konoha dead so it's not just the kages i personally think he's royally pissed with how his brother was used by konoha and the thing he lives for is revenge also he never questions madara he just blindly believes everything he says i mean its obvious itachi didn't want madara to meet with sasuke anyway he'll end up being used in some weird plan madara has been concocting for god knows how long probally

We all saw why he's doing these things but you're not seeing the point here Destiny. The fact of the matter is that all the reasons you have listed here boils down to one thing: Sasuke is an overemotional, one track minded jerk. Betraying his village, Orochimaru, his friends, etc, all for the sake of revenge comes across as kinda pathetic when we see several other characters go through similar things and come out just fine (Neji, Gaara, even Naruto). Its not like I blame him for being emo, after all, he watched his village get massacred. But at some point it just gets old to the point where you just wanna go in there and tell him to suck it up.

Then u can say its Madara's fault here and the elders are still at fault because they thought if 1 uchiha(madara) turned out so bad there might be others so why not we kill all of them.

Well people are always gonna hate for different reasons, some of which are kinda weird/bordering on fangirl-ism. But if you would read the first couple of posts, you would see where the general hatred comes from.

Like I said earlier, none of us are saying he's emo for no apparent reason, in fact, he has a very good reason for being emo. I'd probably be pretty darn depressed if my family was killed too. What changes things, however, is how obsessive and stupid(can't think of any better words) he is about this. Like I said, Naruto, Gaara, Neji, and a couple other side characters have pretty bad pasts just like Sasuke but don't quite get as crazy as he does. Just look at Gaara, the village hated him and basically used him as a weapon for his entire childhood yet instead of destroying it, he protects it by being kazekage.

One more thing I wanted to point out is this whole revenge thing. Yes I would imagine that Sasuke would be pretty pissed at Itachi, but its not exactly a good justification for betraying all the friends that are supporting you. 5 of them practically got themselves killed to bring you back and you go ahead and abandon them for power? If anything, that shows bad character.

Destinyiswritten, you forget one thing, the truth around his brother, akatsuki, the past of what happened in uchiha would've occurred anyways. That is a plot separate of orochimaru, a plot that his brother planned out. His brother would've sought after him eventually. It is an inevitable fate that his brother had planned since the beginning.

As for his power, it is true that orochimaru is the best suited person to train him. Kakashi can only go so far with sharingan, and other than that there wasn't a good teacher.

As for betrayal/abandoning, he does. It is simple, he betrays konoha. He knew leaving made him a traitor, he knew going to orochimaru would make him a wanted man, he even fought naruto who tried to stop him. He knew the consequences from the start, he knew what he was doing, he was becoming a missing-nin. This is reinforced again by joining akatsuki. You can theorize, stretch and inevitably bs all you want that he didn't betray/abandon anybody, but he did, and he did it willingly. Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, by leaving their group, he abandoned them he betrayed them, but he did it willingly and he did it to pursue his goal, not a goal of protecting the village but a goal of revenge.

Lastly, the main reason why i hate sasuke is because he's an ass for no real reason. Even after the thing with his brother was settled, he still has a retarded quest for revenge that gets exploited again and again by others. Orochimaru used it to lure him away (although orochimaru ended up failing), his brother used his revenge to manipulate him perfectly (and to hopefully pick up a new vendetta to kill the new hokage) and now he's also being used by akatsuki. He's a tool, he gets tossed around and used by everybody.

And helloooooo~, did you forget about KAKASHI?! He probably has the most similar past to him (lost his father, Yondaime, Obito, Rin), and yet he hasn't strayed off.

In my opinion, hate and anger has become such an integral part of Sasuke's life that he can't live without it anymore. Even if he himself thought that his revenge quest was stupid, he's too stubborn and prideful to admit that and return to Konoha.

Sure, I like the guy, but don't go worshipping him either.

Well to say that I would have done the same would be a stretch since I'm the type to give up half way through. Call it cowardice but things wouldn't be as interesting with me in Sasuke's shoes.

As for Sasuke being weak, I hardly think that would've been the issue. Throughout the story, Sasuke has always been one of the strongest if not THE strongest in his niche of friends (who also appear to be the most talented in the village for some reason). From the start of the story, he went from a stuck up jerk who couldn't even see Rock Lee, to a person who literally got stronger from his defeats. The only reason he came across as getting weaker was cause Sasuke realized that Naruto was also making large steps in improvement. When Sasuke saw that Naruto was about to catch up to him, he made the drastic decision to move over to Orochimaru's hideout. As for him gettin weaker in the village, look at Sakura, she stayed and went from worthless to Akatsuki-slayer in the time jump.

As for the other people, I'm only using Neji cause he grew up in a pretty crappy, misunderstood, situation too. Human emotions don't really degrade the way your suggesting "O I saw 10 family members die and you only saw one, therefore I get to be more depressed" - both people are gonna be pretty bummed. As for Naruto, he had Iruka just like Sasuke had Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi. Hell he could've made the extra step to befriend the whole village if he wanted to. The problem is that he didn't cause he was so focused on revenge that he completely ignored everyones open arms.
