Why do people hate Sasuke?

Well, of course bad guys are a necessity to plot development, especially in a shounen (they are indispensable): but there must be a plot behind them or they'll feel to the audience like the comedic archenemies of gag mangas.
I mean, Sasuke as a character has all the rights to be "shady" "avenging" and "raging" but he has a definite past that should smooth out these features and make them more complex. Instead, due to the incapacity of the mangaka, we have a "stubborn hater", a madman, a killing maniac: thus the vast disappointment from readers.
If you see it from a particular perspective, its the first time that in a manga, a shounen one, a character is despised at a structural level, not just "cause he's bad bad bad and i prefer good characters".

I know, but it´s hard to describe such a feeling. Evertime I see Sasuke i think how pitiful but strong he is. But he´s full of hate (the wrinkles under his eyes are like a mark) and I just think he´s a sad person I want to hug him and say that everything is okay. But I told the simplest reason, because people who hate Sasuke eventually won´t understand this reason.

Sasuke has been my favorite character since the beginning, but I find myself turning away from him lately. I don't know what Kishi has planned for him, but I think Sasuke is beyond saving. Vowing to attack all of Konoha, picking a fight with all 5 Kage, and then actually killing one of them is some serious stuff.
Sure, Danzou deserved it, so I guess I have to look past that.....but will the people of Konoha?. He no longer thinks about others. Everything he does is for himself and no one else.
I hope I'm wrong and Kishi has some grand plan to help my poor Sasuke out. I'd really like to see him get back on the right path and reunite with all the members of Team Kakashi.
C'mon! Get back on your feet!!!

I believe you' have it out of order we don't hate sasugay cause he's gay we call him gay cause we hate him. I think most people like the "BAD GUYS" just look at how many fans Orochimaru has we just don't like sasugay.

well personally i think his character lack depth and capitalizing only on his "cool" persona... the same goes for naruto who's mindlessly chasing him down asking for his share of gayness...
it's sad to see the manga I once enjoyed turned this way though...
but oh well, it's never been my fave anyway...

I hate sasuke because of him he is dragging Naruto down! Sasuke is the type of person who thinks that he is the best in the world and the whole world revolves around him!! i hate those types of people the most!!! >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-(

umm actually on the other hand because of Sasuke, Naruto is now stronger than ever...because of Sasuke he HAD to get stronger and power up etc etc. Sasuke doesn't think like that....there are many reasons to hate sasuke and I am one of those people who hates both Sasuke and Sakura(i think of her as the one one dragging Naruto down) but what you stated isn't even a good reason for hating sasuke lol

I think he means dragging naruto into a gay relationship... I mean, Naruto was straight when this manga began and now because of Sasuke we aren't sure anymore.

Things changed though... sasukes decided to start playing hard to get... but Naruto will not give up if he wants to win him over! He will show sasuke how much love he has for him...No one can question their love.
Naruto will take sasuke with him even if it means a lovers suicide...

he must be in cohoots with the author of nabari no ou to make shonen manga readers turn gay and boost the sells for yaoi mangas >:-(

People hate Sasuke because they see their own inner homosexual in him, and they hate that, so they call him SasUKE and sasgay and all that really unoriginal crap.

Sasukes cool, he should kill all characters and then commit suicide. Only the lazy one (you know the one I mean, Shadow kid) should survive and end the series with a crapy sentence like "Oh, ninjutsu blows"
