I voted for the first movie, still have the "Ancient Mew" card they handed out in theaters.

Can't beat the original. I remember watching in theater as a kid with my parents, sitting there, and literally crying at the scene where Ash turned to stone and pickachu was trying to wake him up. 😢

If so why there's so many who NEVER WATCHED?

anyway I am torn between celebi and Lucario movie
Celebi won in term of cinematic, it caught more moment than Lucario does.
I remember the Kanto-Johto Movie is all good movie,

The recent movie is meh, I don't even watch them anymore due to dismisnishing interest with Pokemon Anime
they lack in catching the moment, cinematic quality.
and weight in storyline.

Er, I didn't know there even were that many...
I think I watched two or three of the Pokemon movies when I was still young enough to give a damn, and even then I thought they were pretty ridiculous.

I won't go so far as saying that I hated the ones I watched, but I didn't especially like them.

Mewtwo Strikes Back. I remember back then I didn't even know it was a movie and was wondering why the episode was so long. Oh, and I agree this poll is a bit too specific. I'm a huge pokemon fan and I only watched two of those. I like pokemon for the games not the animation

I haven't seen all of them, but in the end I decided to go for the first one. Simply because of the fact that after all these years, it still manages to controls my emotions.
I also liked the second movie too. I'd say the first two movies were the best. Things kinda went downhill after that...

not mine. I never watched a pokemon movie, or even sat through a whole episode of the show. I remember when pokemon was popular in America. All of my friends were collecting the cards, but my parents wouldn't buy me any because they thought they were a waste of money. in the end, they were right.
