The Rukia, Chad and Renji bit was good. I'm hoping that Chad goes up against Yammy for some payback.

Reasons why Ichigo's cero didn't incinerate Ulquiorra's head

1. His foot was in the way
2. Ichigo wanted to blow of his lower body as a form of torture before killing him
3. Ichigo's conscience getting in the way at the last moment

Ishida looked pretty badass when he stopped Ichigo from killing Ulquiorra. Ulquiorra attacking Ichigo at the end was interesting. I reckon he did just because there was an opening but who knows he might have have wanted to save Ishida.

I can see many people here hate Orihime. I can't bring myself to hate her but I agree that she needs to do something other than healing and shielding.

One thing that I think can be said about Ichigo in this form, he definitely has a one track mind about doing something that he said he would do. At this point it seems to be to helping/protecting Orihime (even if it is to the extreme of attacking Ishida for no real reason). 😐

Something came to me. Why the hell did Ishida tell ichigo to stop? Ichigo was about to kill Ulquiorra with Zangetsu and therefore would have purified him. Ishida is one to talk, since Quincy's can't purify hollows, they simply destroy them.

Reasons to explain this

1. Ichigo is in hollow form and therefore isn't able to purify hollows
2. Ulquiorra is an arrancar and cannot be purified
3. Ishida simply forgot about this and thought that if Ichigo killed Ulquiorra he would permanently become a hollow
4. Rukia, Byakuya, Mayuri and Zaraki have all killed espada, no one complained then SO WHY NOW?
5. Ichigo, Ishida, Chad and Orihime are humans. Humans should have nothing to do with Soul reapers or hollows until they die. Therefore it is not their duty or in fact in their nature to kill shinigami, hollows or arrancar.
6. Kubo Tite has no idea what he is writing about anymore
7. It's just a shounen manga; deal with it.

ok for all the people wondering why Ishida stopped Ichigo from killing Ulquiorra is because Ishida thought that Ulquiorra was already dead. He was trying to prevent Ichigo from mutilating what he thought was a corpse.

Am I the only one pissed at Ishida for interfering with Ichigo's fight? I was waiting for so long for Ichigo to get the guts to finish someone and what happens Ishida comes and stop him. Ishida why are you showing mercy to the guy who punched a hole through Ichigo, hunted his friends, kidnapped Orihime, blast another hole through him and ripped off your arm. Didn't he lose his powers trying to kill Kurotshuchi? All I can say now is that I'm happy he got a sword to the gut and I don't care if Orihime heals him anymore.

Besides this the chapter was pretty good. I thought it was going to focus on Rukia's fight. Nice to finally see Chad again.

Ishida thought the battle was over, which is reasonable given that half of Ulquiorra's body was blown to smithereens with apparently little effort. Ichigo beating up a corpse would have been proof that Ichigo's isn't the one in control at the moment, which Ishida (and probably Orihime as well) didn't want to see. He could also have been trying to give Orihime some hope (given the many Orihime x Ishida pairing hints in the series so far) that Ichigo still had a shred of humanity in him.

Why is everyone giving shit to Bleach orihime ain't that bad of a character she is trying to get stronger and i can't blame her for beginning helpless against f*cking espada's sure she would probably be able to fight against a normal hollow but espada hell even ishida isn't all that I like the guy and all but he can only do so much. Don't forget orihime's power she can heal anything! and about Ichigo powering up dude it's a damn Shonen think dbz, naruto, yu yu hakusho, one piece even it's a classic cliche but hell it works. come on hell i knew he was going into that form sooner or later and the suddle hints from his dad to his mom to the power and tricks of this person or that person so yeah he has two forms hollow/shigami and bankai/shikai and he might have one more.
About some tragic death to happen sure why not sure spice it up just don't go over board like naruto half the characters i like are gone. 😔

Can someone please explain to me how Ulquiorra's still alive? I am honest-to-God confused here. And I need a logical explanation, not something an Ulquiorra fan would post or something like "His foot got in the way of hitting his head" because Ichigo would now have one foot or one leg seeing how big and wide that explosion was.

I know that humans can live without their intestines for hours (So I'm guessing arrancars are like that as well), but he seriously missed his head shooting from that close? And the ensuing explosion didn't finish the job?

yeah that makes total sense. and also, i seem to recall that Ulquiorra said that he can regenerate any part of his body quicky, except for vital organs. so, maybe the outside of his body already regenerated, the inside was just taking a longer time. i don't know. it seems plausible

Why didn't shirosaki's cero kill Ulq?

Maybe because its a commercial manga serialised in shonen jump. The editors want to prolong the serial as long as possible. Thats why we had those previous chs with the vice-captains fighting the fraccion which did nothing to further the story.

I'm kinda disappointed that Ulq didn't die but that was rather obvious, seeing how the last ch ended. But he's probably, eventually going to die.
I see a vol.cover of Ulq in release form when they're going to bind these chs in a vol.

I'm seriously going to stop reading bleach if Ishida dies. There are sooo many character who are less important and he is the one that's going to DIE! Or maybe kubo tite didn't know how to fill those 18 pages (he once stated that in an interview) and decided to give Ishida a almost-death moment, just for character development and to drive the Ishida fans crazy. Or maybe there a reason behind it other than giving us a pretty detailed drawing of Ichigo's zanpaktou. 😃
We'll just have to wait for next week. 😀
