I was thinking, if I were to make a manga, would I want the format to be like the original japanese or have one that follows visual novels and manhwas.

Dude why are you asking us what you would want?
Anyway I guess it doesnt really matter to me what direction it reads but if you make a manga in english thn it's gotta be from left to right, makes no sense otherwise

If you make a manga, it would have to be published in Japan by a Japanese publisher, or else it's just a doujin. I imagine the publisher would want it right to left.

There are a few Japanese ones which are from left to right too. Doesn't matter as far as I know it.

I once read a manga printed out the occidental way and it completely ruined it. Japanese style is much better in my opinion.

Unless you're Japanese, whatever you draw won't be manga, regardless of which direction you read it. Manga specifically refers to Japanese comics, i.e. something intended to be published in Japan. And if you intend to really make it a manga, i.e. aim it for the Japanese market, then there is no question that it will be right to left.
