Series editing

I don't think this has come up before... I looked over this section just now and didn't see anything like it. So: is there or could there be a way to edit multiple sections of a series at once? Often I find new (or old) series missing a lot of info, and feel compelled to search the internet and add as much as I can. Going back to click "Edit" for each section (year, author, publisher, alternate names, etc) can get tedious, and it'd be nice if I could put in all that new info at once. If it can't be done, oh well, but I thought I'd ask 😀

Well, right now, only admins have this option...(hehehe), but Manick, I guess it shouldn't be that hard to use the same template but just take off some options like the "approved" section, right?

I'd like to add something else to this topic:
I like your idea lys, but not for the reason you've stated (the tediousness of having to edit each section individually) but because maybe this way we can get rid of those edit "buttons" that appear in nearly every section of the entry. Something I've never liked of this site's interface is the fact that those "edit" signs always show up no matter if you are an unregistered user, a normal member or an updater in almost every part of every information page. In my opinion, It would be better to have just one of them in every entry since having so much of them is unnecessary, ruins the site's design, and gives an impression of incompleteness and unprofessionalism.
For example, I'd rather the entry look like this:

than how it is actually:

And I'd suggest that you put the "edit" feature just in the "Last updated" section:

or whichever place you'd like (as long as it's only one, of course.)
(I put this suggestion on this topic because I thought that there is a link between lys' multiple section edit suggestion and mine. But if somebody feels that this should be posted in a separate thread just say so and I'd gladly do it.)

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I wanted to say something else on a somewhat related subject...
I keep noticing that a lot of series get added with very little info beyond title and maybe publisher. No author, magazine, genre, etc... the stuff that would make such a title possible to find after it disappears from the "What's New!" page. I'd still like a way to more easily edit multiple areas, but I'm thinking it might also be worthwhile to require/strongly encourage users to add as much information as possible, rather than the bare minimum. I think it's reasonable that if someone can figure out the title of a series, they should be able to name at least the author/artist as well. Thanks for considering this!

Problem is, we can't force users to post as much information as possible...

lys, i think people are more inclined to help out in small increments. It's annoying to do everything at once... so as long as the series gets added with any info at all, others will come around and add more too it eventually..
