It probably stands for "host".

Well, I'm not really sure about that, because I haven't read the ending.

The letter H is often used in Japanese to refer to the work ecchi, or mean perverted.

Yep, "H" (from the word hentai) is used to denote perverted stuff. But I dunno, the title of the manga "H" could mean "ecchi", but reading the first three volumes, there really aren't any ecchi situations there. Maybe the circumstances are, in one way or another, but the seriousness of the drama kind of rules that out.

Sorry if I'm not making sense. 🙁

H probally means host since from the description it says "And at night, he works as a host" so im guessing host but might not be correct since i haven't read this yet

loooong time since anyone's posted here, but...

i would just point out that the H of the title is pronounced differently to the H denoting ecchi. The title of this manga is pronounced "eichi", which is closer to the english pronunciation, so ecchi is clearly not meant...

i would probably conclude that it stands for an english word, "host" being the most likely. however i also thought that since it's so similar to the word ecchi, it might be trying to connote something forbidden/taboo, as in the main relationship of the manga.
