So, I saw the movie Zen, and there was a buddhist monk, who fall in love with a woman. Of course, it was more complicated as the movie was about buddhism, not love, the end too. In one scene, the woman takes the snake venom from his leg and he snapped. (raped her). Not that I'm looking for something like that, but if you saw the movie, the atmosphere between them was nice I think.

So I'm looking for a manga, where there are some guesses of love between a monk and a woman/man, as long as there the religion actually have a meaning and there are the "I can't" feelings, so not in the easy-going way. hmmm. If you watched the movie you could know what I'm talking about. I don't think I could explain it even in my language, sorry for that. The romance don't have to be required, as it was in the movie, where the belief won. But if something will happen, good too (actually better).

As long as it's not doujinshi and hentai, everything is good. But yaoi tend to be easy-going.

the priests are OK too, actually.

Nice movie, btw.

Well... This isn't what you specifically asked for but... Have you heard of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring? It's another movie (not what you requested but you may find it interesting).

It spans the life of a young monk... He becomes disenchanted with Buddhism when he meets a girl and well... let's just say that in the end things come back a full circle.

It's not the perfect fit, but you could try Shikabane Hime.
