I almost cried reading this chapter! >.<

True that this chapter didn't reveal anything new, but its purpose wasn't to give the reader any new info. Instead the purpose of this entire chapter was to try and debunk the beliefs of those who didn't believe a single thing that Mandara said.

I'm not really convinced though... last time I took something based on face value it made me believe that Itachi was a bad guy. Then again if I believe Mandara, then I would be accepting something on face value again...

My head hurts...

The more I read the more I'm convinced that Sasuke is gonna try to destroy the Leaf Village, it's the only thing he has left.

Well nothing new except that Itachi joined Akatsuki to protect Konoha from the inside, u could say he was even protecting Naruto in a way...explains that why the kyuubi is still inside Naruto while Gaara despite being a kazekage lost it...I had been wondering why they didnt actively pursue the Kyuubi although maybe they were just following sequence but it was Itachi's job those 3 years ago to kidnap Naruto and they didnt seem to bother with him for 3 years...also, itachi did come back after the hokage died n we now know why...in a way if we believe what madara says...by familiarity, i would say i m starting to find credibility in that fellow 😀 he seems genuinely concerned.... nonetheless this chapter was to show Sasuke would be in denial for a while (obviously!!) and Madara would impress the actual facts on him as he realizes everything as much as they horrify him...imagine you lived ur whole life on a lie!!....now where have I heard that b4? 😀

Hmm the pace is slow with all the flashbacks in it.
I hope Naruto is coming next week or something else then Sasuke
but it was interesting what madara said about Itachi, I liked him
What will Sasuke do?

I liked this chapter better than the previous one. If what Madara said is in fact really true, then we've found out the answer why he joined akatsuki. This chapter also really emphasized how much of a good guy Itachi was, that is if madara is telling the truth. I would like to see Naruto in the next chapter though, I'm still waiting for his reaction with Jiraiya's death.

Don't completely believe Madara's story, though I'm sure a considerable part of it is "true" many truths depend on perspective, and we know Madara's perspective as that of the enemy and thus against what the protagonists want.

I also don't know how much was protecting Naruto and how much was avoiding getting and ass whoping from Jiraya. Even if Jiraya was just and excuse for Itachi to not attack Naruto, it still shows how truly powerful the man was seeing as all of Akatsuki saw it as a valid excuse.

I think that Madara is telling the truth, only he's leaving out the stuff that might make him look like a bad guy. It's clear that he wants to use/manipulate Sasuke. Why else did Itachi badmouth Madara when he talked to Sasuke? He wanted to protect him from Madara, probably.

Oh, I'm not calling him a liar, but he's definitely twisting facts and leaving bits out to paint the picture he wants Sasuke to swallow, and notice the only person that might know the truth by the Leaf's standard, Danzo, is made the ultimate enemy? I don't buy the spin Madara's putting or it one bit.

danzo knows the truth as well as the 2 elders of the villiage (the ones who sent advised to send kai *(spelling?)) now is sasuke free to do as he wishes? do you think hes going to return to the village?

i hope sasuke tries to destroy konoha 😀
