The Captain's with hollowfied bankais. Interesting.

How the heck is this bullshit interesting?! Hitsugaya got a hole in his chest and then he got slashed into two but still he is completly fine... fine enough to pose cool. It's like every character is protected by Kubo just like Byakuya. Now there is no longer any excitement in battles...

Nah, he was not split. That panel with the burner finger 2 hitting him is a bit confusing, but you can see the two spots where it hit the ground. Basically Bazz had somehow moved to above and slightly to the left of Hisugaya and attacked from above. The burned lines basically grazed the front portion of his body.

But yeah, the hole in his chest should be much more severe as an injury, even if one would argue that maybe the burner finger cauterized the wound. But that is Bleach for you. Ichigo has gotten up from far worse, though he does have the excuse of instinctual Ransou Tengai available.

The hollofication is pure shit though. The pill was supposed to slip in just enough hollow-essense in to the mix to make the Bankai poisonous to the Quincy, not to give an ass-pull power up.

Are you sure it gave a power up? Hitsuguya had been training during the time skip and this is the first time we get to see his bankai so it could just be the power he obtained from training. I am not to bothered by it giving him a different appearance as long as it doesn't effect the captains with bankais not seen yet. I want to see them in non hollow form

Well, at least they're not playing with toys like another overrated bullshit...
