confessions and getting dumped

When reading romance mangas, whenever say guy A confesses to girl B., and B says no or lets be friends etc etc what I call rejection, guy A and others around him always take it as if they have been dumped. I don't get that, they haven't been going out on dates or anything, hell they are not gf/bf, guy A has just said he likes her and girl B rejected him, so question is why do the mangas or people in the manga whatever consider that as guy A being dumped.Wouldn't the correct thing be rejection or is it a japanese thing where if girl rejects you it is the same as the guy being dumped?? Being dumped is when a break up happens after the the two people have been going out, atleast thats how it is viewed in my country so guyz is this like a Japanese thing or what??

It could be a translation error. Probably the word or phrase, they originally use, doesn't literally translate as getting dumped, or maybe it does but the meaning is different.

he knows he have no chance with the girl of his dreams
so of course his day get pissbad and he gets depressed
manga is usualy very pure
so everything is night or day
reality is more like everywhere else
girls tend to be whores

Yeah it's annoying. I pretty much ignore it now. It should be rejected or turned down and not dumped. The worst thing though is when a character suddenly gives somebody a deep kiss on the mouth and then claims its a greeting in America. Even if some people give their friends and family kisses its usually on the cheek or a quick peck to the mouth. Not some deep tongue kissing..thats...disturbing. 🤣

i know ai lol have to learn to ignore it then i thot it was like a japanese thing. and @taopaipai nope not new to manga just wondering why that kinda shit happens thatz all.
