hey guys i need some help. i'm trying to buy super mario brothers for nintendo snes. but i don't know what year the super nintendo snes is, so i can buy the right game for the system. I'm going to buy it from ebay and next to the game it says super nintendo 1992 or super nintendo 1994. so i'm wondering the right game so i can play it with the super nintendo snes

As long as they're both SNES consoles, either can play Mario World for the SNES.

where are you from?

if you come from america you need to buy the ntsc version
if you come from europe you need the PAL version

the game was released in EU 1992
america got it in 1991

not to complicate things...but
there is a game for snes called super mario all stars
DONT buy that version...it contains smb1,2,real2,3 and super mario world but they are all slightly crappier versions than the original games[and alot easier in some cases]
