Tch, people don't seem to get why fast endings like this exist... >:-(

Bunch of freeloaders complaining about crappy/fast ending when they don't support the sales of the series. These sort of endings are brought about because the publisher axed the series, they don't give mangakas months to end the series, they give them a week, maybe 2 or 3 tops to pack it up and try again.

The ending was expected of an ecchi/harem series, if you were expecting more then you really haven't a clue as to how these work.

Hope to see another series from Yabuki soon, love his art and story. 🙂

Seeing how the low sales in Japan (Or at least what Jump considers low) was the reason why it got canceled, you can't really blame the people who read the scanlations. Blame the people in Japan who didn't buy enough copies. I highly doubt anyone who reads scans and doesn't understand kanji would buy the raw volumes.

Normally, if I'm reading a Manga that I enjoy, and it finally ends, I'm sad. Normally, as I'm reading the chapter, I start to tear up a bit, maybe even cry a little. But this one,

like after he confessed to Lala, I was like "Alright!, finally!" But then she told him to go to Haruna, then I was like WTF?! And then they ended it badly, I figured he would have been with Lala at the end. I don't even feel like this one ended at all. There's no closure, at all. Like, sure I'm with everyone else in the sense where they should have had like 3 chapters to finish it up, maybe a longer chapter than usual because it's the LAST chapter, but no. They didn't. To-LOVE-Ru ~ Trouble (using the entire name to show my anger) dropped down 2 points on my MAL just because of this chapter. Fuck.

WHAT..THE...(good children shouldn't say it 😮 )?!!!

What on earth, kind of bloody hell ending is this 😕 ! it's meaningless and maybe the worst ending I've ever imagine o_O.

Why don't the mangaka chose one girl for Rito and made them happy ever after??

Man, even Ichigo 100% that in the same genre Ecchi Harem has a better ending than this o_o

btw, doesn't the continuation of series depended on Vote system that gathered from Jump reader? the lowest rank need to be ended, or so like that.

I don't think the quantity of sold mangas will guarantee the continuation of manga series. Well, just say that this To-Love-Ru lost at vote rank -_-.

CMIIW, well just shared my thought 🙂

Not blaming the ones who read scanlations, just angry at the ones who don't give these sort of endings some consideration before rating it like crap and start bashing the series as a whole. The mangakas don't get 5 months to do a proper lead up, climax and the tidied end that people keep complaining about, they get a few weeks tops once they get axed.

Low sales and popularity are part of why the series ended in Japan but it still pisses me off to see these people bashing the entire series when they haven't contributed to it at all. 😐

Fast endings like this happens because of greedy publishers/mangaka that have a manga go on forever, even if there is no storyline, just ramdom echhi with no plot. If people didnt give up on this it would just go on forever without any ending.

I am not like other fanatics that read anything they liked once, when I see the boat is sinking, I am the first to jump off. I dislike series with no plot development. Between random echhi with plot and random echhi without plot, I'll surely pick the first.

Before people start bashing the manga, the artist had problems because of his wife, she had an affair and he had alot of problems especially with his daughter's kidnapping by his wife, she demanded alot of money and they finally divorced, the reason there was alot of fanservice and no plot was because the artist based Haruna off his wife, that's why she got least attention as the manga went by and focused on other characters and fanservice, that's what I heard at least.

I understand that it's the publishers that typically decide to suddenly axe a series, not leaving enough time to create a proper ending. That said, usually they are given more than 1 chapter, and 8usually* they are given a heads up that something is happening.

However, that doesn't really matter. It doesn't matter if it's the mangaka or the publisher that is responsible for a horrible ending. As a reader, I see a poor ending either way. No excuses are appropriate: a bad ending is a bad ending and makes the series as a whole less enjoyable, or at least less memorable or less likely to want to read or reread it.

I, for one, was hoping on a better ending. Even IF the mangaka only had 1 chapter to end it, it could have been much better. Sometimes open endings work, but this did not even come close. As for "how these work" in reference to harems, I don't buy that at all. Besides some examples which did not have this (i.e. Ichigo 100%), the managaka can end it anyway he wants. It's beneficial for the mangaka, publisher, and readers to put out the most enjoyable ending it can...merely following what other series in the genre do does not accomplish this goal.

He confessed to Lala but was interrupted with Haruna? wtf? Who in the world would call this good story-telling? It's very typical of this series, but this is the ENDING...it would have been more than fine to actually have something happen in the plot. Almost nobody would have complained and I think many people would have enjoyed it more.

Did you or even anybody you know "contribute to the series"? I, for one, was not asked for insight by the mangaka or publisher. Obviously, you're talking about sales. Even if it was possible to legally purchase it in your country, does that really matter? Is a purchase required to have an educated or informed opinion?

If low sales were the primary cause of the series being canceled, then shouldn't MORE attention have been placed on the people reading but not buying the series in an attempt to convert them to buyers? Obviously they liked it enough to keep reading it, but not enough to put money upfront. I see that as more of an opportunity for sales than sales already lost. Sales were going down, yet the chapters continued doing the same type of things.

I didn't see the news post so I didn't know that was the last chapter, so I was devistated when I saw 'the end' 🙁 ah well.
