Highest body count

What manga do you think has the HIGHEST body count? This isn't necessarily the most violent manga, but the manga that has the most deaths. I say Dragon Ball. In that manga entire planets are destroyed, which means billions of people end up dying at once. What are your guys' opinions? Anyone ever read a manga that can top it?

Its not about the quantity its about the quality, you can blow up planets if you want but if you know nothing about the people living in there it just becomes a statistic. I find mangas there have death around complex characters much more amusing, like say Gurren Lagann, Ai-Ren sure its not in the billions but the deaths in these two manga made it so much more stimulating emotionally than seeing an entire planet blow up with some uber move.
Sorry this has nothing to do with your post, I just like to point out that I can't beat Dragon Ball in death counts so I'm trying to be a smart arse. But you win lol 🤣

I think for dead bodies it probably has to be Berserk, there were alot of dead people in hell .

I'd say between Berserk and Gantz for the close second.
It's hard to come close to whole planets blowing up.

Bokurano. In terms of deaths this wins.A ridiculous number of people are killed in Bokurano.
I really should get an avatar
Well also in Psyren there's a future where nearly all the population of the Earth is wiped away 😃

Second
Something like 20 earths worth of people not only die but cease to have ever existed. That and they kill main characters left and right (and pretty much every way since that's basically the whole point of the series.)
I also have to vote for berserk for bodies seen. Festivals ftw.

Berserk in my reading experience has the highest body count, definitely. Battle Royale also left an impression if not in numbers then in specificity. Haven't read Gantz so can't say...
But I agree with Noobsrus about quality over quantity - you "feel" the body count a lot more when it's gory and detailed and imaginatively specific and comes with a compelling backstory. Like with MPD Psycho or Ichi the Killer... Now those body counts are scary. Somehow it seems to simple to blow up a planet - I mean a random terrorist could blow up Planet Vulcan in the Star Trek movie w/out any trouble at all. 🤣
OT but I think Monstar Maalik's sig is the best thing ever. 😀

Archlord probably there is a lot of deaths most of them pointless.

For on screen deaths, I personally go with Berserk. Remember that time he took on the 100 man army all by himself? Good times, good times.
