His shikai is cooool So now there are 3 with double swords

Just like the last chapter made me think more highly of Kira, I now have more respect for Hisagi. His shikai is cool (looking, at least). His opponent's a lot more compelling than Kira's too. The fight looks to be a fairly interesting one.

I'm still eagerly awaiting seeing Halibel and her fraccion fight though (kinda annoying to remember there's still and Ikakku fight before the focus can return to the Captains and Espada).

No, I don't think it can be considered double swords. It starts out as one blade the two captains with double swords have two even before release. It's also connected by a chain so can be considered all one unit. That being said I think it looks completely badass I can't wait to see the continuation of this fight next week. I also have to say Kira's line "I pray you don't forgive me." was about the best ending line to a fight I've seen in quite a while. After what looks to be 3 really good fights in a row I hope Ikkaku isn't a let down, I mean we've already seen his Bankai. I hope he has another trick up his sleeve to pull out or it will feel like a bit of a let down from the other fights.

I waited for so long to see Hisagi's shikai and the wait was worth it, His shikai looks so badaass, that I am also curious to see its full strength and what his bankai can do when he'll have one.

On another note, is it just me but isnt' Hisagi's enemy, the annoying dude who keeps on saying "EXACTA" is a cross between Ichigo/ Hollow Ichigo and Shinji?

i swear his attitude during this fight was sooooo much better than what we've been shown in the anime. in every instance they decide to put him in the anime for whatever reasons he always plays the timid guy. but after this i think we can all say good bye to that. but not only was his line at the end awesome the way he won too was pretty epic.

Good issue. Now that Hisagi has gotten serious, it'll probably be like 3 more moves before the arrancar gets killed (thats how every other Arrancar/Espada fight has been).

I wonder what Aizen is going to do? I'm assuming that his plan didn't call for anyone from Soul Society to actually be defeated, but rather he needs them occupied for a certain amount of time. If it called for their defeat... wow. The strongest and possibly smartest guy on the show trained an all-star team of weaklings and losers. I don't think Soul Society will sustain a single casualty or even lose a fight during this arc.

What happened to the power levels lately? They said before that Espada were supposed to be even stronger than Gotei 13 captains (which doesn't seem to be true), so if Espada are supposed to be stronger than captains shouldn't lower numbers be stronger than Lieutenants? At least put up a decent fight dammit.

then gotei 13 was training for the battle and probably the espada's didnt calculated this

nah, the thing is the Gotei 13 can't use their full powers anywhere outside of S.S, so when Grimmjaw and his group came before Inoue was kidnapped was just cause they were handicapped. even if their seals were released i don't think it was enough to let them release all of what they had. (even Hitsugaya at that point).

im pretty sure utikate only gets his second sword after release. he just pulls it out of his first sword as part of the transition, its not physically inside his first sword (or beside it). And both utikate's swords and hisaki's are connected too so yeah....that statement before from the old man is being contradicted. "the only two soul cutters in soul society that are in pairs"

Very disappointing to see Espadas getting owned little too quickly. The hell? I thought they were suppose to be like Strong and stuff. >_>; And Birdbrain got downed too fast. -_-;
