Banana Fish

A website has opened at midnight on Monday to announce that a television anime adaptation of Akimi Yoshida's Banana Fish manga has been green-lit. The anime is part of the 40th anniversary of Yoshida's debut as a manga creator. It will air in Fuji TV's late-night anime programming block Noitamina next year.

Wow, this is great news! I'll be crying once again with Ash's story.
I hope the animation does the story justice. I've seen enough of good mangas tainted by poor animation.
