Why are all the answers so smoker-biased. >:-( >:-( >:-( All of them except the first one include smoking, and the first one has the optimistic word 'tried'. I fall in neither category because I've always actively rejected and hated smoking. I know because both my parents smoke. Voting 'never tried' would be an insult for me.

Nope, never tried and never will.

Both my dad and my grandma used to smoke, and both of them eventually quit. (My dad when I was born, and my grandma when I was in high school.) My stepbrother also smokes, though only e-cigs now I think (he tried to quit cold turkey a number of times but never succeeded). He never did it around me, though, so I usually don't count him.

Quote from Senrosj

It tastes like shit, but the smell of a few (not sure which, probably the blue ones, 'cause those were the ones my father smoked) are kind of nostalgic.

^ I definitely feel this, though. I can't imagine myself ever smoking, but since I lived with my grandma until I left for college, I still feel nostalgic when I smell her brand of cigarettes. It's not a conventionally nice smell, but I think I've been conditioned to enjoy it.

I can see that. My parents used to work with a group of guys who smoked cheap cigars and we'd hang around their workplace now-and-then. Even now I like it, even though it also registers as disgusting on some level.

Wow, for once I'm with the majority with my vote.

I smoked for like 5 years (from 16-21 years old) and quit cold turkey. I had 1-2 cigarettes per day and would try different brands. My faves were Parliaments. I would smoke on my way to work. My job at that time was absolute shit and I wanted something to cope. It was a dark time in my past but I'm better now.

If I wanted to offend everyone's nose around me I can just smear some shit on me instead. I have tried it, but all it did was burn my lungs and make me feel lightheaded.

Not sure if smoking marijuana counts...? If it does, then I guess I can say I've tried it before. I've never even touched a cigarette before though.
