New Poll - Transportation
Also in London it's sometimes easier, better, faster to take a river boat than anything else.
Beliefs are what divide people. Doubt unites them.
Yes, because "or" represents here logical disjunction that is true in your case (1 and 0 give 1 in truth table for logical disjunction).

That2ndGuy:"Also, it was 1% of the people who bothered to vote so far, not out of the total members."
Well duh. That's what polls are for - they aren't meant to collect a vote from everyone, but to provide a statistical representation from a meaningful proportion of the polled group...
After 4 days of voting it's still showing 0.8%...

You COMPLETELY missed the point, friend. You made the assumption that there were people bullshitting their vote on the poll the day it was put up (or the day after, I don't feel like fact checking). Probably 1000 people voted by then, if that, but probably less. Is it so hard to believe that maybe, just maybe, 10 or so people use an airplane or heli? Who knows, we may have pilots who voted there. Granted, there are people who vote for the dumbest answer for whatever reason, but all I was trying to get across to you was the fact that a lot of people actually use a plane/heli more than any other mode of transportation. You really must lead a sheltered life if you can't believe people get around by the air quite frequently. Evidently, it's unfathomable to you for some who has the money to use a plane on a regular basis to read manga.
Polls aren't made to collect a vote from everyone? It's funny that you say that. So the people who don't vote don't matter? Please, for the love of God, never get into politics. Anyways, polls are, in fact, meant to collect a vote from everyone. Of course, the likelihood of everyone voting is nil, but the fact remains. And what group are we polling? The people who frequent this website. Look at the total votes of the last poll. I'd say that there's that amount of people coming to this website on any given day, if not more. Meaningful proportion my foot. Do your research before making such assumptions. Jesus, what a pointless argument. And learn how to use dashes correctly. It's such an eyesore.
OMG, it's 0.9%... AFTER 6 DAYS!

Who's going with a submarine to school or work?
A helicopter could be acceptable for a reporter.

Oh dear, I seem to have mortally wounded your pride judging from the tone of your reply. I'm afraid it was you who missed the point. I'll try to keep it simple for you. A poll is a representative vote of a group of individuals: in this case the people using this site. Ideally, those conducting the poll want as large a proportion of the polled group to respond, but in practice they don't expect it. Obviously (well, maybe not to you) the higher the proportion of the group choosing to vote, the more accurate the poll. Usually the polls here attract many thousands of votes - in fact most organizations out there would give parts of their anatomy for voting figures like the ones on here. This means that the vote should reflect pretty accurately the way the rest of the visitors would vote - after all that's exactly what polls are for - to show trends. Given this level of voting, the result for the site as a whole would mean that a few THOUSAND people who visit here use a plane/helicopter on a daily basis. Given that the people visiting this site come from all sorts of backgrounds and countries, I'd say they were pretty much an average bunch. On that basis, if you extend the vote to, say, the population of the US, that would mean around 3 million people in the US use a plane/helicopter as their MAIN form of transport. That's an unbelievable enough figure for a rich country like the US, but given that a proportion of these votes are from many poorer countries it's fairly obvious just how ridiculous your point of view is. Insulting comments and calling upon the Gods doesn't change that (although I must admit I found your second paragraph hilarious).

Didn't anyone tell you that it's bad grammar to start a sentence with "And"?
Chill.
