I can't remember the name of this manga/manwha but basically the mc is a strategist and like all strategist they want to find a partner aka general. the mc is good at his job and his main magic is copying other strategists' magic skills. if I remember correctly, the general he has chosen to serve used to be a renowned one, then there was a competition with another general, he had long hair which during the match got one of his arm slashed off??
