I doubt a Strawhat pirate could slip into Marinford without being noticed. Must be someone who has been undercover for a while since I doubt anyone else in the world actually knows about the Impel Down raid yet besides the marines. Maybe one of Blackbeards crew? Were all of them at Impel down?? I don't remember if every single one of them was there or not. But if one was missing, that would be my best guess.

Whitebeard sure has some impeccable timing. Just when everyone is doubting that he'll show up, he makes one hell of an entrance. Looking forward to the future battles, though I must admit that the selected battleground apparently seems kind of small for an all out war.

Wow, great chapter. I actually thought Whitebeard had gotten weaker seeing as though he was connected to all those IVs and other medical instruments the first time I saw him. He looks fine though. And I also thought the Marines wanted the war with Whitebeard, rather than having the war as an unfortunate side-effect. I have a feeling that Luffy is going to sail into an awkward situation xD. I think that Luffy is going to save Ace in the confusion and everyone will be surprised that he's gone, or everyone from Luffy's crew will bring their own personal army from the islands they visited.

one piece is effin EPIC and i cant wait for wat oda makes of this war to come, i seriously got goosebumps reading the last two chapters!!!

-i love how oda emphasizes the fact that u dont have to be blood related to have such a strong bond. Luffy's crew (all hail nakama bond), luffy-ace (brother bond), ace-whitebeard (father-son bond); he makes the relationships between the characters so UN-superficial and believable that u can really feel how close the characters are with each other. Really shows how stupid the marines are for justifying the fact that they tried to kill a baby just because he held the blood of roger.

about why Whitebeard valued Ace so much
about his last line "My beloved son is still in one piece I see!"
and here is it
Ace is the treasure known as One Piece
Roger knew that his son would be born after his death and perhaps considered him to be his greatest treasure
ok this is a long shot but it kinda makes sense and makes the chapter a little more epic then it already is

I would've liked it better if Luffy got there first, but he'll still shock everyone for getting out of Impel Down. Magellan was a freak...

Still I don't doubt Oda. He'll make this an entertaining fight. Oh, and it's pretty funny how Gol. D. Roger's personality is easy going. I always imagined him as a mysterious bad ass, but this is better. More like Luffy.

I believe that phrase is a pun by translator (nice one, but confusing), Oda didn't write that. See some other scanlations, WB just says "Ace better be safe".

I read 2 different versions of this chapter and they're different.
This chapter is one of the reasons that One piece is my favorite manga ever.
Just finished reading it and I already want another chapter. 😀
I don't think Luffy's crew will do more damage than WB to the WG but they can handle the smaller enemies and take Ace and Boa with them.
I think hes going to reveal his connection with Dragon.
