Shogakukan announced that Zōkan Flowers, its spinoff from Monthly Flowers magazine, will launch with the second-to-last chapter of Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden manga series on November 14. The magazine is quarterly, so if the final Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden chapter runs in the following issue, it will appear next February.

After Shogakukan ended the publication of the Yuu Watase Perfect World Fushigi Yûgi magazine, Watase took a two-year hiatus on Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden before resuming it in Rinka magazine in 2010.

Viz Media published the original Fushigi Yûgi manga in North America, and it will publish the 11th and most recent volume of Genbu Kaiden next March.

I agree, I hope it ends well. But seriously, just the fact that she made her fans wait SO LONG for her to continue this, it seems like a slap in the face that she's ending it so soon.

All because she wants to work on Arata. She should have finished this before she moved onto Arata. 😔
