Hello everyone! I'm looking for this series that I read a long, long time ago, so I'm hoping I remember enough for someone to be able to find it for me.

The FL and ML were both magic-users, and they were husband and wife. The ML was a higher-ranked magic user, while the FL was sort of more normal, but they were very much in love, though she was often anxious about her rank in comparison to his, especially when he went off on an adventure to save the world with a very pretty woman. She might have been a princess? Obviously, misunderstandings arise I also think the husband and wife knew each other from when they were children, but I might be wrong about that.
