To answer the question: Why? Well it certainly isn't a choice. Choice has nothing to do with who does and does not become gay. Those who are gay have no more choice over their sexual preferences than those who are heterosexual. Like u-chan said you don't just wake up one day and decide, "I'm going to be gay." And if you do, rethinking your assessment is the best thing to do.

There really isn't much else to say that hasn't been said already. But most people know of their sexuality from a very young age, and are aware of it to some extent. Its impossible to just wake up and choose to be gay. Maybe they woke up one day and chose to come out, but thats different. There is no choice in it, there are environmental factors and genetics that take play in it as well.

excuse me sir...no person is born as a total gay...its really based on the feelings that he will have according to his environment...because no chromosome has a content that has the "gay gene"...i know i studied genetics...

Maybe he's questioning his own sexuality and wanted some input from others who may have experienced the same issues. I think if that is the case, the question could have been worded a little differently, but he may still get the info he's looking for.
