Are there hurricanes/other winds things in Southern California? Because when I hear about hurricanes (on the news) and then sometimes California comes up.
Nope, California isn't known for the big wind storms. You're thinking of Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
California is known for earthquakes and the San Andreas Fault Line, which is not weather related at all
Yeah, but the fault line is a wonderfully dangerous geographical land point. 😀
Anyone who's ever lived in Oregon knows we get weird weather. It can be sunny and raining at the same time. We can get sun in the morning, and be a raining mess by the evening.
Lately its been consistanly sunny, though. Between 60 and 80 degrees, with a nice, cooling, breeze.

Ack, humidity. Quick, someone get me a hairclip. We have quite a bad bit of humidity at times. It doesn't like me.
I know, it does terrible things to hair! 🤢

I am so jealous right now - that's my ideal temperature.

Aw, there's always anti humidty/friz creams 😃 Flat iron works best though (I think) in taming the hair when it gets too humid.
At least people in humid places gets to have healthier skin and looks younger longer.

I hate having to do stuff with my hair. And there is no way I'm ironing it, I don't like the way my hair looks straight. So I just grab a clip and pull my hair up. Or put it in two pigtails. Whenever I do that, each side forms a single large curl. It reminds me of how a doll's hair would be or something.

Aw, that looks cute. Yea, reminds me of my old doll with curly hair in pigtails.
Anyway, I miss the tropics so much and the rain too! I always love it when it rains.

My favorite kind of day is the rainy ones. It's so peaceful. I'm tempted to say cleansing, but that seems a little cliche'd. When you say tropics, where do you mean precisely?
(Oh, and I collect china dolls.) 🙂

in the philippines its hot...in summer its really hot and in winter its still hot...well technically we don't get winter but still...you get the point 🤣
Awww... I see. I actually enjoy having four seasons. And in the northern parts with lots of snow, there's a big winter culture with skiing, sledding, tubing, and a whole lot of fun stuff. Where I used to live in NH, there was snow on the ground from November to March. The record was snow in June and I once had a snow day in April.
Here, in CT, there's much less snow, but enough to build a snowman.

Its hot and humid where I live, but not as bad as it can get. I've only had to turn on the fan a handful of times at night. The 'stickiness' is gross, though. I like cold weather best. You can put on layers and snuggle up, but with the heat you can strip naked, but you can't take off your skin. Yuck. I'd probably be happier climate-wise living farther north.
I'm curious though is dry and hot feels better than humid and hot?

God Yes. I've lived in Florida and I've lived in Colorado, and even if the temperature is the same, it makes such a difference without the humidity. Also, if it's like 65 in Florida you're freezing your butt off because of the moisture, but in Colorado where it is so dry, it's perfect weather for a T-shirt and a picnic.
But, I personally love it best here in NY. Today it was another beautiful day and a lovely night. Not too hot, not too cold. I hate the heat but love the seasons, so Long Island is the best since we get seasonal weather. And Fall is coming! My favorite time of year to be in NY. starts singing "Autumn in New York" Seeing all the trees turn colors has got to be one of my favorite things on earth.

Well, I'm going to have to give some other climates a try, someday. I like seasons, too. But does it seem that they have been getting less distinct over the years? Especially Spring seems to only be a blip between winter and summer.

The weather in Georgia sucks
One day its 102 degrees, that night we had a HAIL STORM.
The next day it is right back up to 101 degrees.
rediculous. but unpredictable, ill give it that.

hehe... this talk of Fahrenheit is very confusing. I use Celsius,....
100F = 37.7778C
ohhh... I see. It issss very hot... plus humidity. Here, 32C (or 89.6F) is kind of bad already. haha. But I could imagine it hotter plus humidity (it'd be like Hong Kong, and I don't like it)
