Years ago I had a book collection that filled 3 bookshelves and every book I had was damaged in the rain... (think: thousands of dollars on manga down the toilet....) I'm trying to rebuild my bookshelf and there is one book that I'm looking for and haven't been able to recall the author or title of. It was a bestselling about 10 years ago...

What I remember: it was a manga, but I'm looking for the light novel form. It was japanese, about this girl who falls in love with a boy and she gets very very sick, and finds out she has TB. I remember this scene where he kisses her by the window (most touching scene I ever read at my then 12-15 year old age.) That page was illistrated in the light novel form.

I think there was a part where she just wants to see the ocean but I can't remember if that was this particular novel or not. I think it was.

Please if anyone knows the name of it, I'll be forever grateful; I'm finally at a place in my life where I can afford to track down all my old books and re-buy them, and I even have my own place to put them 😀 😕

I'm not sure what "TB" stands for in your description, but some of the things you mention did remind me of one LN:
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (Novel)

Can't say if this is the novel you are looking for though. Volume 1 and few other parts are translated at Baka-Tsuki, so I guess you can check it.
