Very interesting chapter; at least it explains how Luffy, Ace and Sabo became the best of friends.

When I read that last panel, I had a bad feeling something's going to happen to Dadan.

Seeing as though Sabo, who should have been with Ace as a pirate, has not been seen in the present-day storyline, and because Oda has shown himself to be capable of killing characters, I've just been thinking that

Sabo might get killed by the Tenryuubito. (misspelled that horribly, I'm sure)

But that's just wild speculation on my part

I kind of doubt that. It seems that Sabo, Ace, and Luffy were "brothers" living with Dadan. If the Tenryuubito kill Sabo, I'm pretty sure even Luffy, the idiot that he is, wouldn't forget the titles of the people committing such an act against one of Luffy's few friends at the time. If I had to guess, the Tenryuubito might mean that the world government is involved somehow. And given Luffy's age, it could be around the time that those royal members (like Vivi's Dad and that king from Chopper's recruitment arc) were discussing about Dragon as a viable threat. So Sabo could learn about the Dragon and the revolutionary army, and abandon his pirate dream in order to fight with that army instead.

oda can kill but it doesnt happen that often so i doudt hes gonna kill another character already cause it just wont have as much impact on peoples.

cause beside knowing his name and where he lives, we dont know anything about him and its not like hes that important. so his death wont have much meaning 😐 well to me at least

unlike whitebeard who we knew for years and had an importent role in the one piece universe
and ace who was well ace. Sabo doesnt mean much and doesnt do much as of yet. hes like the random marines or pirates you see. they are named and are there but when they die its like .

if sado dies, then it's just part of the Ace's history.
like the sad story and emotion and lead Ace to become what he is.
as per example, brook's crew dying.
it won't be important to the readers, but it'll be important to Ace (and the storyline)

maybe Sabo isnt going to be killed but maybe be captured as a slave,and the townspeople wont say anything instead of lies to Ace and Luffy so they wont be mad.....=> /fantasy off

I always guess wrong when it comes to one piece . But maybe Sabo joins or is enslaved by the Tenryūbito?

having read that (which i totally missed)
I'll have to say sabo sacrificed his life so Ace can survive or something
because Sabo obviously wanted Ace to live on, and cared for him

ace mentioned Sabo as a reason that he lives on right so maybe he died because of ace( could be that people discover that he is the kid of goldrogger) That could explain why he is so fixed on luffy the only friend he got left.
