Hi,

I am new to BU. Thanks for establishing this great site.

I wonder if it is possible to add a "Personal Tags" field for each entry on user list (just like myanimelist.net) so that users are able to highlight the interesting elements in a manga. For example, I would like to add a "Yamato Nadeshiko" tag to the manga "Ai yori Aoshi", as the heroine Aoi Sakuraba is a typical Yamato Nadeshiko (大和撫子).

I'm not entirely sure what you mean... we have a tagging system already (in fact Ai yori Aoshi already has Yamato Nadeshiko added as a tag), but it's not personal--everyone can see it. What did you mean by the tags being personal? ...Having tags that only one person can see doesn't seem very useful, so you probably mean something else. Could you explain a bit?

OK. I'll further explain it. What I wish for is that everyone can have "Tags" as a field/column in his/her lists. (Even better, I'd like to have an option allowing/disallowing the "Tags" field/column to be displayed when someone else is viewing my lists.)

First, if a friend of mine wants me to recommend mangas that feature both Yamato Nadeshiko and Cohabitation, I can easily pinpoint those mangas (e.g. Ai Yori Aoshi) in my lists. In this case, personal tags essentially serve as history of personal votes.

Second, I sometimes need to write comments that are meaningful only to myself. For example, I may write "good art" as a comment. Whenever someone wants me to recommend mangas with good art (from my point of view), I can easily locate them in my lists. In this case, personal tags essentially serve as custom rating, rather than a mere numeric score.
