The only volumes we can find in a Portuguese bookstore are Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. Sometimes, we can find Death Note, FMA... But not that usual. If we want volumes from another mangas, we have to order them from them or anime shops. Usually, the volumes are around 10€. The older volumes of the ...

I know what you mean. I try to find online stores that are in Spain, or at least in Europe, otherwise prices are just too high. What I usually do is order many at the same time as well, so they send them all together and you just have to pay for one delivery.

There's Book Depository, they ship to Spain and Portugal for free. But they don't have a wide choice of manga, unfortunately.

I'll check that out, thanks. Luckily in Barcelona there are a few big Fnacs (bookstores) that have quite a few manga and every year there is the Saló del Manga where I can get everything I need. I stock up for the whole year 🙄

Where I live manga usually cost between 3 euro to 6 euro per volume, though some series cost up to 7.25 euro. One exception would be Haruka na Machi e which appears to have been released in Bunkoban format and which costs over 12 euro. Keep in mind that the country in which I live does not use euro (hence the prices may appear slightly cheaper then elsewhere). The price is about right when it's around 3.50 euro. A number of series was released here (one of the online shops amounts it to about 561 volumes in total, but I'm sure there were a few more), but when you go to a comicbook store there isn't all that much to chose from (though they might have some old release, which otherwise would be impossible to get). In the city in which I live there are two comicbooks stores that I know of (might be more) and multiple stores from a certain media chain (they've got big selection of movies, books, games and such), though their selection of manga is very limited (on top of which they tend to only keep newly released volumes on the shelves).

P.S. By the way I live in Poland.
P.S.2 While searching for the prices I found out one or two series I'd like to buy, but with price of 7.25 euro per volume I'm not all that tempted.

Oh, you guys are luckier than us! Our FNACs are terrible, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and not much else ._.
And the stores in events don't even bring manga to sell... Only other merchandise... Even if they did, selling each volume for 10€ wouldn't work at all. It's sad.

Oh, I knew Book Depository, but only on Amazon. And they charge delivery fees from ordering there. Probably the website is different, I guess.

Most are usually 7,50 euros here in Spain (9,75 US dollars), but some can cost up to 10 euros (13 dollars), like Haruhi Suzumiya.

I live in Holland and the prices are about the same.

Around $1.7 - $2. The first time I bought a manga, it costed around $0.8 - $0.9, time sure flies..

For those of you paying less than $4 in price, where do you live, or do you get it used?

Indonesia. The manga is brand new, the paper quality is not as good as the original manga though.

For your reference, 1 USD is about THB 30

A volume usually costs THB 45. But for some volumes that are thicker than the usual, it's THB 55 or more.

Over the past 10+ years, the price has gone up for at least 50%...

It's fairly easy to find manga here. But sometimes (well, most of the time), it takes like forever for them to translate a volume.

I live in Canada. Volumes range from $9-15, plus tax (8~13% tax).

However, the price isn't that much of a concern. It's mainly the selection. There's practically no manga series available apart from the really popular ones. Canadian resellers mostly import from American ones.

But even then, barely any stores exist around here that actually sell manga. People just order online from Amazon or Chapters/Indigo or something.

Let's see... Last two manga I bought (Hoshi no Koe and Red Garden) costed 12 R$ each volume (about 6 US$).

Compared to other countries, I guess mine has a very nice range of manga genres getting published, and in the last few years publishing houses seem to be more open to publish titles not so famous. Also, manga is relatively easy to find in regular newsstands, and there's a lot of anime conventions taking place at a lot of different cities.

Ranges from 9-13 USD.
Cheap enough but... I don't have the space for it anymore. Also I would like to see digital manga's happen sometime in the near future seeing as Japan has been doing it since they got those ebook readers like the kindle and all that crap for the equivalent of 5-6 dollars.

Besides the price and the difficulty to find manga in Portugal there's also the languague.. At least the Fnac (bookstore) that has them near my house always have french editions. Altough I should practice my french it's not at a level where I can read and understand at first sight...

Seriously? 😮 Maybe you can import from brazil, since it'll be on portuguese too. It has many titles for sale, recently I even saw Madoka for sale.
