The same reason most people finished the Harry Potter series. You are so far into it you might as well finish it.
Harry Potter went to shit after the 3rd book in my opinion, but I just had to keep reading to finish the story.
Same with Naruto. Got bad after some point, but I might as well keep going.
about harry potter......4th book was also fine btw....the dragons and competition stuff was kinda nice....but it was downhill after that....anyway what did the hero accomplish .....he did nothing himself.......
got protected a few times by the scar his mother left
got his ass saved by the wand's core
hermoine did all the thinking
voldemort got his ass busted by his own spell ........so in the end what did potter do in 7 books ??just run around
I mean Harry potter story is pretty generic wizard teen book. I read dozens other series just like it, i wasn't that impressed when i read it. But hey, i kept reading it hoping i found out why it's so popular. then i realize maybe it's not me.....maybe it's everyone else....
Anyway, Harry potter was down the drain after the 2nd book. Good suspense but shitty character development and description. I don't feel the characters were very close to me nor probable human. I feel like I was reading a fiction.....which is bad when the fiction is trying to bring you into the wizrd fantasy world. The movie is just corny.
But i think naruto is a different case. Naruto dragged on for so long but it's just we all hope it would finish one day and conclude the story. But with harry potter, it's a "mehh... I kind of know the ending. Moldiebutt dies and Larry Pooper cries becuase some main character dies, but being the pedo ass hole he is, he's going to hit on his best friend's little sister and take adventage of her crush and marry her." Danggg I'm so bitter lol
