Manga List Bug Topic
Well, since we're suggesting, would it be possible to put the completely scanslated field in the reading/wish lists? The reason for this is because my reading list turned into my wish list due to me only wanting to read completely scanslated manga now...and I might have missed a few manga that got scanslated completely and they're probably just sitting there in my reading/wish lists.

monkeyvoodoo, #2 was about allowing a different order other than alphabetical (and I think you misinterpreted that due to your response)
As for #4, it's basically the same as a series list but adapting it to scanlators and authors. Probably not publishers since there just aren't that many...
But the idea for lists for scanlators and authors has been up and about ever since we had series lists, and I believe it's a valid suggestion.

I told him that I would prefer that it be alphabetical for now @ lamb. It may be something we do in the future, but we have a few other things we would like to prioritize first.

Umm... I would like to point out that the manwha aspirin has only 13 chapters that are currently released in the latest volume (10)... but in my list... it displays 15chapters in my reading list...
and imouto - akane also displays 4 chapters released but only has 2

not so much a bug but id like to be able to associate an image with the list of my choice, i dont mind if it is a predefined list of symbols.
in reality its so that I can make a "dont touch with a ten foot pole" list and put a big cross to come up next to manga that i will die before i ever read another page of, as i get forgetful with names the cross would be awsome. as i like how the reading and wishlist icons come up on the releases page and i wanted a big red cross also haha.

This seems to be pretty high on the request list. I haven't talked to Manick about it yet, but I think we could that feature in pretty easily.

This is due to the "latest chapter" feature simply pulling the highest chapter number from all releases, rather than taking volumes into account as well. Probably for the time being the best option would be to re-number the chapters such that they don't reset with each volume. I'd do it, but I don't know how yet.

Hmm, I can't seem to reproduce either of you guys' bugs. Try reloading the page a few times, maybe you just need to reload the javascript files. Also Stealth, I didn't include it in the release archive for technical reasons... the way the releases system works right now is slighty inefficient, and adding this feat would slow down the system a huge amount. I'm planning a redesign of the database eventually (which will allow me to put in list icons as well as genre highlighting) but at the moment it's not possible.
[edit] what browsers are you both using? [/edit]
I have this bug too. I am using the latest firefox and I can't move things around my lists because of the new system. When I select it from the drop down menu nothing happens.

4: Interesting, but how do you see that being used?
Well, I'm thinking like a newcomer to scanlations (because I am one). In order of preference:
In reading the forums, especially the "I'm looking for" section, quite often specific mangakas will be mentioned because of style of artwork or story-telling, as opposed to specific works. Other than following the forum topic, there's not a good way to keep track of mangakas whom you might want to keep track of to read more of their work later, without having to immediately go mark specific works. The number of people who have added a mangaka to a 'favorite mangaka' list might be another good way for newcomers to discover which mangakas are most popular and who they might look at to start with.
The same would be true of scanlation groups. (I was thinking about it because of the 'scanlation group drama' topic earlier today.) Having people add groups to a favorites list would let newcomers see which groups have followers who keep them as favorites. (Though I can see the potential for causing more drama with that, too. It's not intended to be a 'bragging right', but someone might try to use it that way.)
For publishers, I don't know that it would be as useful, but I was thinking it might be handy to quickly look up the publisher and see what new works they might have recently licensed, or something (without having to go out to the publisher's website). Not as useful as the first two, though.
Anyway, that was where I was mentally when I suggested it. Does that make more sense?
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Very hard/annoying to do for this series in particular because the way JanimeS works
@mrsatan: Try resetting your cache. I'm suspecting that your browser still has the older versions for certain files of the site (since it happened to me for this new feature)

I only read the last two pages of this topic so I apologize if this has already been mentioned by someone else, but I just noticed the new drop-down menu shown on series pages, where I can select which list to move a series to. When I select one of the options from the drop-down menu, nothing happens at all.
I have a Mac, and I'm using Safari (should be the latest version, as far as I know). (EDIT: also, in case it makes a difference, I'm only trying to add it to my Completed list, nothing custom for now)(EDIT 2: yay, it works now!! thank you~)
Also wanted to second lakesurface's suggestion—I use my wishlist for both scanlated and unscanlated series, and I have a TON of titles on them. So having the red chapter numbers would help me know which series are actually being scanlated and available to read. I know you've got other issues you're working on that may take priority, but I think this would be a helpful update whenever you can get to it.
Thanks so much for all of your work! I appreciate it a lot!
