Double entry taken care of

lakesurface, you DO NOT bring up the red numbers suggestion in this thread. Leave it in its own thread, or else I'm locking it and we're never looking at it again

Sorry if this has been suggested before, but 22 pages is a bit too much for me...

Anyway, about the list features, would it be possible to add your "On hold" and "Unifinished" on to the pull down button on a series information page? Or at the very least, a 'select all' and a 'select none' buttons in the Lists pages?

I think this would be useful because since people often like to organize series they've read before, this would be a much more fast and efficient way especially if there's a lot of series you're sorting through.

Btw, I was also wondering if series were able to appear on more than 1 list now? 😕

  1. How about adding an option which would let us to choose one of the custom lists as a main list? I mean clicking on "My Lists" in the "Members" menu would redirect you to the one you chose instead of original "Reading List".

  2. This is how the links to the lists look now:

And this is how they would look better:

or

The changes look great, monkeyvoodoo! Thank you so much for the alphabetizing, editing, and additional list-type associations.
If we can just get some standard icons to which we can associate those lists (or if possible add our own), that would be great!

When I try to add a series to one of my lists using the drop-down list in the series page, nothing happens !!!

[technical]Actually a script error occurs because a function called 'addOther' is missing. I suppose this function is supposed to be in "js/lists.js". However when I downloaded it, I didn't find this function. I found a bunch of other functions like: addComplete() and addHold(). I think that either this function is wrongfully not included (not very likely since lists seem to be working for most of us) or the time-stamp of the file 'lists.js' is too old and hence my ISP proxy is not downloading the new version.
[/technical]

Of course I tried clearing my cache, using different browsers (IE, FireFox and Opera) and even reinstalling one of them.

Hope I'm not reposting this bug.

EDIT: I've just confirmed that it's a cache problem. Using the dirty old trick of adding a random number to the script file url, like
http://www.mangaupdates.com/js/lists.js?14578
However, since clearing my browser cache didn't solve the problem, I suspect that the problem is at the server or ISP cache end. I hope that you can change script file referencing to include such a random number (that may indicate the script file version) to force update of script files in cache.

Thanks

The correct is here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?id=622

Another one:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?id=4587
The correct is here:

thanks 🙂

hmm, this is a coding related glitch, probably has to do with how you parse the URL as it doesn't return the & sign correctly. Not sure if you are aware of it.

example:

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=8859

if you click on Gothic & Lolita Bible magazine link it takes you to here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/publishers.html?pubname=Gothic+%26amp%3B+Lolita+Bible

when it should be:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/publishers.html?pubname=Gothic+%26+Lolita+Bible

Totally unaware of it! Thanks for pointing it out! Hopefully we should have a fix in later today (I have some paid-job work to do, then I can get to this).

Not a huge deal... well for me at least. Don't know if anyone else has the problem... but.. when I click on the Relases it's totally possessed. The icons for adding manga to reading list, ect and some I don't even recognize are all over the place. Even when they're not in any of my lists. Then when I refresh, it'll sometimes go back to normal or the icons will just be next to different manga.
Could be my internet (cause it has a tendency of being possessed), but just wanted to let you know.

I'm assuming this is the right place... since it has to do with the manga lists...
