Only doujinshi series that are scanlated according to our database will be approved

I can't add the release if there is no group in the database. And the group was revoked I'm guessing because lack of a website.
What do I do in this situation?

irc channel? forum?
you could ask the scanlator to create a website or something

and I don't know you. Make sure it doesn't leave the building."[/color]

I think it would be useful to have a thread for such releases. This way the information would be available somewhere, but not in the database itself.

Why?
I mean, where is the harm? In the time it takes for the group to be approved, the thread would provide useful information for the users. It would also serve as a reminder that the group is not yet approved. And when it eventually is, the release information is already there to be collected and added to the database proper. And it can be erased from the thread at that point. I don't see much of a downside.

Potential for spam and links to dangerous websites is too high. Groups are easily accepted given they have some access point; there is no need for an additional risky proposition.

Um, how? Nobody would be posting links to anything whatsoever, as is already the policy. We'd just be writing down "such and such group has released such and such chapter of such and such manga". That would be it. And by "we" I mean regular users who both know and care about such things, which doesn't sound like a lot of people. People who want to report their own releases can go through the normal channels instead.

Lots of individual scanlators or person who translate things for fun usually don't want to announce their release for a reason. They just want to share it with friends or people they know.
Some are translating and posting it personally to learn the language and to ask feedback from friends. It's not meant for public release like this site.
If you start announcing the release it will just create a problem for them.
Even by writing down on a thread, lots of people will then realize this group or person exist
More and more people will know about them and surely they will search their releases with google.
Believe me, i deal with this kind of thing before. It's just bad. Real bad.
Someone reported my work without my knowledge. Lots of visitors came to my personal site. After that my works can be found everywhere. I have to stop translating a certain series just because of that.
That's not the worse of it. Since i provide text translations there too, someone just steal it and use it for their scans release.
Please don't create any more trouble for a fan community that just want to translate things for fun.

Osananajimi
This series seems to have been obscured by another series' alias, so that it doesn't show up in the series list (e.g., here) nor link from the "m" tags (Osananajimi).
To the point:
It's a bug. I think your list needs a collision test. Or one that works (no offense). I'm sure you've got one for the main titles, but obviously it failed between a main title and an alias.
(Expanding a bit...)
I tried an experiment earlier with something I've never tried...I tried using the "m" tags for Osananajimi (as at the top of this post, currently not working), and got directed instead to Osananajimi - Naniwa Koi Shigure, which had "Osananajimi" as an alias. I changed it to be followed by the author's name in parentheses now, so that's not happening anymore at the moment, but neither at the moment is it directing to the first series.
I could assume that the "m" tag linking and the listing will both work when the database updates sometime in the future, but I also wonder if maybe it hasn't "forgotten" and won't remember on its own. Might the name for the first series have to be reentered to remind the database that it's there? Or, of course, you might just do some manual jiggering with the database, if it really won't fix itself automatically.
Good luck.

Other than a minor mistake in main title, the title you suggest will be left as an associate name. There isn't exactly a 'u' in there, but you are also correct since it can be pronounced that way as well.
Thanks. I wasn't sure, and I'll try to remember this example if there's a next time.
