We all know Yoshimori is already special because of his powers and he is the next legitimate successor. But as the plot is moving more and more along, I've felt he's a little different from the other successors. (which is what it should be since he is the main character and all) Especially after the most recent chapter (226), has anyone else felt maybe he is somewhat a "god" so to speak, maybe, sorta? 😐

Well, I don't think he is a god, but he does have some sort of close link to Karasumori. If I remember right, in some earlier chapters there was something going about him using the power of Karasumori (when the giant thing appeared).

why a god? He didnt anything special: the feeling he felt at the end could've been felt also by Tokine, or at best being felt only by him cause he is "nearer" karasumori (soul-wise) than others are.
But to think he is something god-like i fear it is a bit too far fetched.

Just keep reading, the next few chapters should pretty much settle the karasumori-yoshimori link and how special yoshimori is.

Not really well the god of the land, but um, kinda like tsuto said with the close linkage type thing. Just felt god was the easiest way to explain it because the gods kinda protect it and knows when something somethings astray..
but i didn't think Tokine felt the same thing he felt because she didn't look "pained" like he did... but maybe she was more worried about being killed.. hehe.

but yeah, I was just throwing some of my specuation out there. Just wanted to see what other people thought It's been a while since I read, probably gotta reread. 🤣

i've felt that hes more special than he seems for a while, for one hes got freeky amounts worth of energy which i find surprising even though he is a successor, and plus he connected with karasumori itself (even if just for a little bit before he lost it)
im looking forward to more scans (or maybe learning japanese itself faster 😛 )

This story never gets boring but I think its about time that the mangaka wrap things up, when a manga lasts for so long eventually one starts to forget the fine details that where present like a 100 chapters back or so.. you would have to read the manga all over again to check if you missed something.

I think it's more that he has some kind of connection to, what was be called, you know, the original founder dude. He's like a genetic throwback, but in a good way.

I really like reading about Yoshimori and Karasumori but you have to admit Tokine's kekkai techniques are frickin awesome... making mass amounts of spears..sweet.

However if your talking about the godliest character in Kekkaishi its obvoius...she can take down a land god like nothing... Sumiko Summimura. I really want to see more of her she kicks ass.
